CAMP RUN A MUCK THANKS GREAT BRITAIN!!! Camp Run-A-Muck Originator - Tomkow6
The United Kingdom, consisting of Great Britain (England, Wales, and Scotland) and Northern Ireland, is twice the size of New York State. England, in the southeast part of the British Isles, is separated from Scotland on the north by the granite Cheviot Hills; from them the Pennine chain of uplands extends south through the center of England, reaching its highest point in the Lake District in the northwest. To the west along the border of Walesa land of steep hills and valleysare the Cambrian Mountains, while the Cotswolds, a range of hills in Gloucestershire, extend into the surrounding shires. |
About 31,000 British troops have already been sent to the Gulf. These include 26,000 soldiers, drawn from 1 UK Armoured Division, 7 Armoured Brigade (The Desert Rats), 16 Air Assault Brigade, and 102 Logistics Brigade. About 4,000 marines are being sent, from 40 and 42 Commando of 3 Commando Brigade. Prime Minister Tony Blair told MPs on Monday there was no way the US and Britain would back down over Iraq disarming - despite opposition at home and abroad. He said he was prepared to gamble his career on the issue, saying he did not want to be remembered as someone who "did nothing" about terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. Thank you Tony Blair!!

High anxiety: Without ropes or other protective equipment, Paris' friendly neighborhood "Spider-Man" -- a.k.a. Alain Robert -- climbs the 59-story Montparnasse Tower. Les gendarme greeted the 41-year-old daredevil at the top of the building.

Dunes bury: There's no street parking at this Hurricane Ivan-altered beach in Pensacola Beach, Fla., but that's OK, because there's no street either.

I forgot my binoculars, so after my dentist appointment today, I'll go home and get them. Then I can play in the Canteen tonight until time to leave for the show.
