The continuing feminization of the military. When will someone get the cajones to say out loud that men are the warrior sex, and thats OK.

Who is running our military?

Wow!! Ask and ye shall receive. I'm impressed all to... I mean all over the place.

"Back in the old days" that would have been a "Hell Week" recitation just after the fourth verse of the Star Spangled Banner between uniform changes. Of course, there is no more "Hell Week"... I don't think there is even a "Heck Week" now.

I don't know that "Hell Week" was all that good an idea. Nonetheless, it was... I mean used to be... a common experience among grads. "Every class always got easier"... Just ask the ones that went before.

Reality check... However, there are some real disconnects, now. Common experiences from class to class do not seem to be the rule. PC is an ever changing target and the "system" changes equally as rapidly apparently without regard to what is good that may be lost.

That lack weakens the ties that make for a strong USAFA, a strong Air Force and a strong nation, IMHO.

IF PC must rule, how about "Bring me the best" or "Bring me warriors"?

E6.....well let me tell you, my dad retired as a USAF Master Sergeant with 14 years time in grade. That's right; he made Master in SIX years flat; joined up just after WWII. Not bad for a high school dropout from the sticks (literally) of Mississippi. Think that may still be a record today; he was the youngest MSgt. in AF history.

My mom was Army enlisted. My older brother was Navy enlisted. My younger brother was USAF enlisted. My wife as USAF enlisted (former SSgt.). I was the first officer (and college grad, for that matter) in my family; my oldest son is a recent college grad and 2nd Lt. in the US Army, about to start Ranger training very, very shortly.

As much as I appreciate your kind words, I salute YOU. NCO's are and truly always have been the backbone of the US military.

I sewed on E6 in 8 years. 13 was the average.

I feel like that was somewhat of an accomplishment but not a booger fleck compared to some of the Vets on FR.

My deepest respect will always be for the WWII Veterans.
