In response to radical homosexual activists, a group of forner gays have posted a billboard along Interstate 64 in Richmond, Virginia that declares "change is possible."
The Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), a support group for families who are dealng with a loved one engaged in homosexuality, posted the billboard that states "Ex-Gays prove that change is possible" along one of the busiest Interstate highways in the United States on I-64 near I-95 near Richmond, Virginia.
The billboard has a photo of a man who overcame homosexuality and declares 'tolerance for all."
Regina Griggs, executive director for PFOX, said it is ironic that gay activists want people to accept them and their lifestyle unconditionally while they blantantly discriminate against people who have overcome homosexuality.
"All major mental health organizations have proclaimed the right to self-determination," Griggs proclaimed. "This includes seeking counseling to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions."
Griggs continued by noting that there is "no credible evidence" that people are gay at birth and said it is entirely a person's choice.
She notes an American Psychiatric Association study from May 2000 that found "no replicated scientific studies supporting any specific biological etiology for homosexuality."
"Responsible families and parents seek respect and unconditional love for all of our children -- homosexuals and former homosexuals, " Griggs exclaimed. "Ex-gays prove that change is possible and offer hope and answers for those who do not want to live homosexually."
She added, "It is time that ex-gays got respect, honesty and equality."
As for the motivation of the billboard, Griggs said she wanted people to "know the truth -- that you don't have to be homosexual if you don't want to be."

This is going to be hard sell among Liberals. I mean, those folks are not exactly Pro-Choice. Errrr, I mean ...
I'm sure we'll be hearing of a lawsuit soon filed by the queer groups.
Naw, they're just choosy about the "choice" that they are "pro", if you get the drift.
In these days of celebrating "Victimhood" and "Diversity," I'm not sure many will want to avail themselves of this program.
As thulldud pretty much said, liberals are just choosy...
One could almost file it under "Liberals: My Speech Or No Speech"
Nah....They wouldn't demand acceptance and tolerance as they always seem to, and then try and discrimiante against these ex-gays, would they?
Imagine, people actually have a choice on whom or what they sleep with. Here all along I thought it was genetics that decided my behavior. I was told I was just a hard-wired person who had no choice.
I Thought you might want to check this out.
I like the part where it states:
She[Griggs] notes an American Psychiatric Association study from May 2000 that found "no replicated scientific studies supporting any specific biological etiology for homosexuality."
"What if I don't want to change."
"Adam"
No one is forcing you to change.
And, what about te rights of gays to change? They support the right of gays to change. Many have. many more will. Isn't it great?
It's called self-determination. They support it.
They just want tolerance from the gay community.
Then just say so, and don't worry about it. This sort of campaign is only a problem for the ones who are trying to avoid responsibility for what they choose to do.
On the other hand, it's the hope of freedom for the ones who have been told all their lives that they're hardwired and they have no choice but lifelong slavery to their most hated desires.
(Some may be tempted to dismiss the term "hated desires" as oxymoronic. Don't. It isn't.)
Naw, they're just choosy about the "choice" that they are "pro", if you get the drift.
Yep. As long as you choose the choice they would choose for you to choose, then you have chosen to be pro-choice. But if you choose a choice other than the choice they would choose for you to choose, then you are not pro-choice.
Good! With God all things are possible.
Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.
This is a key statement for homosexuals who seek recovery. Right now, for clearly political and NOT scientific reasons both APA's and the ASA refuse to allow its members to treat their patients for this paraphilic disorder. Even Dr, Robert Spitzer, the psychiatrist responsible for removing homosexuality as a pathology, admits change is possible and that medical organizations should allow it members to treat their patients.
Modern therapies like congnitivere/behavioral therapies offer hope for recovery. Right now the ONLY therapy offered to homosexuals is religious therapy. Shame on the APA's and shame on the liberals who hold close to the myth that homosexuality is innate.
Homosexual Agenda ping - Fantastic news. I love it. And watch liberal homosexual pushers froth at the mouth while twitching uncontrollably.
Liberals - people of the lie.
Let me and Scripter know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
Several members of my church would agree wholeheartedly with this campaign.
