"But there are the tiny minority who despise the very ideas of liberty, of peace, of tolerance, and who will kill anyone, destroy anything, to prevent Iraq and its people from achieving this goal.

Among them are those who nurse fantasies of the former regime returning to power. There are fanatics who seek to impose a perverted vision of Islam in which the face of Allah cannot be seen. And there are terrorists, including many from outside Iraq, who seek to make our country the main battleground against freedom, democracy and civilization."

The insurgents, no doubt.

"He thanks America, and Kerrry then proceeds to call him a liar."

Let's see what people in this forum call him.

From the sublime
It's a tough struggle with setbacks, but we are succeeding.

I have seen some of the images that are being shown here on television. They are disturbing. They focus on the tragedies, such as the brutal and barbaric murder of two American hostages this week.

My thoughts and prayers go out to their families and to all those who lost loved ones.

Yet, as we mourn these losses, we must not forget either the progress we are making or what is at stake in Iraq.

We are fighting for freedom and democracy, ours and yours. Every day, we strengthen the institutions that will protect our new democracy, and every day, we grow in strength and determination to defeat the terrorists and their barbarism.

The second message is quite simple and one that I would like to deliver directly from my people to yours: Thank you, America.

to the ridiculous
"We welcome Prime Minister Allawi. I think he's outlined a series of extraordinary challenges that he is facing. But with an administration that has committed blunder after blunder after blunder in Iraq, it seems to me that it complicates his hopes and dreams for his nation. What is called for is a changed policy -- this administration's incompetence with Iraq needs to be changed."_ Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

I have several names for Kerry...of course if I used them I'd be banned in a heartbeat.

Naw, Kerry would probably say, I decided you were lying, that's before I decided you were telling the truth.

That's laughable, Ted Kennedy using blunder and incompetent in the same breath. Surely he's making reference to himself. He's a fine one to speak of incompetence and blundering, 1969 may have been 35 years ago, but it has not been forgotten.

Remember Mary Jo. Without her death Teddy might very well have been president.

Yeah, that would have been scarry too. Certainly he would have outdone Ford with his falling down drunkeness.

Is it just me, or is there a slight resemblence between Teddy and Michael Moore??????

Hi, I'm new here,

I heard Dr Laura was quite discusted with Kerrys' comments.

During the week of Sept 20th - 24th, I heard Dr. Laura say
this:

"I am 57 years old I've lived through a lot of presidential
elections. I don't think in my entire life I have seen anything as despicable as John Kerry. Calling the interim head of state of Iraq a liar; calling the president of the United State a liar in order to get elected, was so hanus, so boorish, so horrible that I...I had no word for it... and really I told my husband I have to leave...go outside and take a walk."

"The dept of his evil to me are so profound that it scares me that half country about....wants to follow somebody who wants to behaves like that. Who has a wife who implies - she said something in the order of that she wouldn't be surprise if O Sama Bin Laden was captured within the next month - implying we know where he his and Bush is waiting to use him as a pawn for an election! I mean...I'm sorry I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican, those kind of human beings should not be living in the White House."

"I know this is not a political show, but I think the welfare of our country - therefore the welfare of the world - is depended upon this next election."
"[And] I want you to look at the characters of these two people and how they comport themselves."

"Do you realize that the interim head of Iraq is under a death watch? They're trying to kill him every day! Do you realize the courage it takes for him to do this job...do you realize the courage it takes for *anybody* in Iraq to do anything? To stand up to democracy? And John Kerry disperishes him!"

"I just could bare it. As I said, I'm 57 years old I've seen how many elections. I've never seen anybody behave like him. There is no way in the world we should have him representing America. Anywhere."
"And his wife implying that Bush gonna pull Bin Laden out of his back pocket to win the election? How despicable is that?! Is she hopping we don't find him in the next months? Somebody should have asked her that when she made that statement."

"I'm sorry, but I feel it's important enough to this country that I had to say that. It's important enough to our families to be safe. Get out of the partisan thing. Look at the reality, please!"
