I realize this is probably in the wrong place, and is quite a waste, but I am looking for a gov't website I found a while back. It deals with $$$ and statistics, if I recall correctly, and was not an office of which I had heard before. Wasn't budget or expenditures, but was kind of a "hole-in-the-wall" office with a WEALTH of knowledge - statistics, graphs, etc. Any clues? Or is this a worthless post -- "I need to know the name of a gov't office--there are only 10,000 of 'em..."
Minneapolisfed.gov for market statistics, Department of Labor Statistics for almost anything else.
Simple, just go to google and search for:
- - -
government + website + statistics + "not an office" - budget - expenditures + "hole-in-the-wall" + "wealth of knowledge" + graphs
- - -
If that does not work try this:
- - -
stupid + vanity + post
- - -
You have to be more specific. "It deals with $$$ and statistics" is no good. Is it related to immigration, farms, weather, government budgets, state employees, cost of living, preservation of historical documents....
U Michigan has an excellent list of sites of that type: HERE.
Bureau of Vital Statistics.
stupid + reply + post <<<<Try this one on yourself A$$hole...Fits ya to a T!..if you've got nothing helpful to say...It's simple!...Google your shrink about your self esteem problems..
That was rude and un-called for.
What kind of stats? Spacebar's link in #4 is the best place to start.
BUREAU of Labor Statistics, that's the one I meant. See #6. Also, the BLS people are very nice on the phone. And don't let flames get you down. You should try some of the searches I've done on scanty information.
