Another poor sign for the Kerry campaign - they're pulling ads in Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana and Missouri. Color them red. Meanwhile Real Clear Politics has Bush up in the Electoral College count. RCP seems to have the best analysis and use of poll averages around, as far as I can tell. Michael Barone recommends their methods of averaging polls and you can't do better than a Barone recommendation in my book.
It will be a cold day in hell before Kerry makes any ground in Texas. He shows his face when he wants to raise money, but he's had no serious effort to court the vote. He knows he can never have Texas.

Personally, I don't care what the polls say, relating to how many people are going to vote for Bush. I want to know how many ELECTORIAL Votes he's gonna get. That's all that matters.
58-38 sounds good. I think it's the ARG poll that shows Kerry behind only 10-12 in SC. I do not believe that for a second.
This is the 2d poll to show GWB ahead in OR. That state is winable, as is IA, MN, and NM.
I'm delighted to see those Oregon numbers. That will be a first for this People's Republic if it happens, particularly considering that the 2 largest urban areas, the governor, and most of the legislature (RINOs at best)propagandize straight liberal-progressive. Just hope we can pull it off.

Oregon is going to be tight again. Kerry can't afford to lose this state. He has no room for error in the electoral vote count because it looks like he has planned a strategy for winning the bare minimum to be elected. I think Bush is going to hold on to all of the states he won in 2000 and pick off a few of the Gore states to win easily.

It seems like the Democrats are trying to go right after Bush in his home state.
Not that they are challenging him there, but rather they are trying to create impressions. The attacks on Bush's guard record with these forged memos with the Travis county Democrat party at the very heart of it, and now this rumor you've heard. I think they're connected, as to say "Texans are seeing the 'truth' about Bush now" as an attempt to use this whole distasteful scandal to undermine confidence in the president.
I wouldn't buy such a rumor for a second.
WA isn't in play just yet. But all polls have been steadily trending towards Bush for months. WA, NY, CA, MI, HI and IL will be the "battleground" states by November 2.
I believe Bush will win CA, WA, HI for the same reason Reagan won them in 1984. The election will be called for Bush before the polls close on the west coast and Bush will ride the wave to a west coast sweep.
Bush will win OR even without the sweep.
I was being sarcastic about the Texas part. A few democrats were wetting themselves over some poll that was suppose to come out today that showed Kerry had pulled back to even. It was thought that the NBC/WSJ poll was going to be it. That had Bush ahead by 4 points. If that's the best Kerry can do than I feel sorry for libbies
Which will mean a landslide for Senate candidate DeMint (R) to replace Hollings (D).
