Ok....that does it, its time to photograph Dan Rather,Joe Lockhart, Mary Mapes , Burkett, and Andy Rooney in a pile of naked men wearing women's underwear on their head. We need to squeeze the info out of them and scare the hell out of the other CBS and DNC folks

If Burkett typed the papers himself how did SeeBS know he had them & why did he make them spend all summer begging him to give them up? Why else would he have typed them other than to pass them to SeeBC or the Kerry campaign?

Memogate is sucking in Rats in the same way that Iraq is acting as flypaper for Islamic Terrorists. We cannot let up.

Memogare is a sort of Perfect Storm with the Big Media, the DNC/Kerry Campaign, and select 527 groups all going down in the same ridiculous conspiracy to bring down a sitting President.

I'm with you on the call from Kerry/DNC/Lockhart being the trigger to "go."

IMHO, as a career military person Burkett knew how to work within a command structure. He needed a sign from the Kerry campaign before giving CBS the documents, which Mapes facilitated via the Lockhart phone call. Burkett may have been thinking about an eventual position with the Kerry administration, so he didn't want to do something the campaign wouldn't approve of.

I'm starting to envision a chain that goes from the Kerry Campaign (and the DNC) to Cleland to Os to Burkett and then on to CBS. I see Burkett as the weak link by design. After all, he can play the 'mental illness' card and escape sentence.

I see Os as the gatekeeper - the strong link that controls movement up and down the chain. Maybe I'm off here, but I really think that Os (Oz) needs closer examination. Its time for Toto to expose the man behind the curtain.

I'm not sure CBS did spend all summer begging him -- that's just his spin, and his story is unreliable.

Why else would he have typed them other than to pass them to SeeBC or the Kerry campaign?

I can't think of any reason he create these bogus documents, other than to draw coverage from the MSM.

I believe seizures can be the result of illnesses other than epilepsy. MS is one I believe and brain tumors is another. There are probably others. I'm not saying Burkett doesn't have epilepsy, he might. We just don't know from that statement.

Killian's son said (in his first Hannity interview) that Mapes had called him aprox. 2 weeks prior to the telecast. She "had heard" those documents exsisted and wanted to know if the family had them.
That sort of fits--Burkett may be telling the truth on this one. Mapes was looking for them.

According to that Amer. Spectator article, an opposition research staffer for the DNC got these documents months ago and passed them on to the Kerry Campaign. They knew they smelled. That's probably how Mapes heard about them.
