Why should kerry show up for work after the election? He never showed up before.
PS. He resigned from the Senate in Sept. Of course he could have resigned the day after taking office and no one would have noticed the difference.

Welcome to Free Republic. I believe that if he had already resigned, republican Governor Mitt Romney would have the joyous responsibility of appointing a republican senator for the state of Massachusetts. The dems are trying their best to hold on to every bit of power to which they can lay claim. If way-less-than-a-sure-thing Kerry had resigned his seat, Bill and Hillary! would have his hide.
