The Senate has confirmed Porter Goss as CIA Director.

I watched a good portion of the vote but missed Hildebeast. How did she vote? Was she pretending to be a moderate, get-a-long Senator today? I did notice that Chuckie Schumer voted YES.
They're always a day late to post the roll call votes on the Senate.gov website.
HAHAHAHAH. All the "buzz" that "Gee, he might not get confirmed." Blah!
You know, it very well could be. I have to admit I'm stunned at how fast this went through; I never thought he would actually be confirmed before the election. Ketchup Boy has got to be feeling some pain right now for sure.
Are we going to be able to retain Goss' seat in the House?
Not at all surprising, actually. It would have been political suicide to stonewall this particular nomination prior to the election. The Dems had no choice, lest they hand the R's a stick to beat them with on the issue of national security.
Politics were a little dirty in the Primaries and with the hurricanes who knows.
ROTFLMAO....also...SWL=screaming with laughter
Hildebeast is a pussycat- voting to build a respectable senate record for 2008.
as compiled through Senate LIS by the Senate Bill Clerk under the direction of the Secretary of the Senate

The Beast voted "Nay"... or should I say "Neigh".
Gutless wonders.
She's dumber than I thought- this is not a do-or-die issue. Must be to the socialist wing though.
It looks to me like the democraps not running for re-election voted no and those running, voted for him, even little Tommy voted yes.
Thanks for the info. Although I spent only about a total of two years in Florida, my son was born there. So I tend to keep an eye on it's politics even though I've lived in the Los Angeles area for a long time.
Good news.
How many votes have these two missed??
Ofcourse Dick Durbin voted against it, and the people in Illinois love him! Sometimes I wonder about this state.
Percentage wise? Quite a lot. This one they shouldn't have missed.
I'm in a different district than Goss - just up the road but I get the Ft Myers stations and it was a mean fight down there. Connie Macks son came over from the East coast and sorta cut in on someone elses territory.
