Could this be taken as the Dems admitting that they don't believe Kerry will win the election? You know, it very well could be. I have to admit I'm stunned at how fast this went through; I never thought he would actually be confirmed before the election. Ketchup Boy has got to be feeling some pain right now for sure.

You know, it very well could be. I have to admit I'm stunned at how fast this went through; I never thought he would actually be confirmed before the election. Not at all surprising, actually. It would have been political suicide to stonewall this particular nomination prior to the election. The Dems had no choice, lest they hand the R's a stick to beat them with on the issue of national security.
