Cool.

Mod update.
Ordinary Americans have dragged slowly but surely other big institutions to the truth. The big institutions were the last to arrive at the truth and some of them to this moment are still not there.

Now I realize that within this new alternative media there exists some jealosy,. I sense that some people don’t want to give the blogosphere the full credit. They have to parcel it out because every body wants a piece of the action; this is quite normal, this is human nature. The fact of the matter is that it was the blogosphere and it was a couple of sites: Powerline and FreeRepublic. And FreeRepublic has been one of the most impugned blogs / websites in the history of websites by the very institution that has been brought down.

When Dan Rather talked about partisan political operatives, he means those who lurk at FreeRepublic. Who is FreeRepublic, it’s ordinary Americans – liberals look down at ordinary Americans, don’t know have enough decision making power, [?] do the right thing, not smart enough …

You don’t know how much it grates on them at CBS that its something like FreeRepublic or one of their chat rooms or one of the FReepers there or the Powerline … you have no idea that it irritates them that that kind of person brought them down. An average, ordinary untrained journalist that … you just do not know how this irritates them inside. More than the fact that they got caught, it’s who caught them that irritates them.

And, so just as I started out … I was a fad, and I was a liar, and I made it up and I was bad for America and I posed threats to democracy, as the cover of Time said. So now the same things are being said about the bloggers. Fox news has had its turn and we all continue rotating in the criticism carousel of the left.

FRANK ZAPPA lyrics - "Po-Jama People"

Some people's hot
Some people's cold
Some people's not very
Swift to behold
Some people do it
Some see right through it
Some wear pyjamas
If only they knew it

The pyjama people are boring me to pieces
Feel like I am wasting my time
They all got flannel up 'n down 'em
A little trap-door back aroun' 'em
An' some cozy little footies on their mind

Po-jama people!
Po-jama people, people!
They sure do make you sleepy
With the things they might say
Po-jama people!
Po-jama people, people!
Mother Mary 'n Jozuf, I wish they'd all go away!

The really ironic thing about PMSNBC's contempt for us is that the whole original vision of that crap network was this supposed synergy between NBC and Microsoft - the merging of news and information technology.

Heck, remember when John Gibson had his show there, they had some dreadlocked guy who was the "internet correspondant" who basically sat around reading emails.

I think their contempt stems from the fact that their original vision is now flat as a pancake, steamrolled by the right and the truth. They are truly Old Media in spirit, if not in age.

Let their network of lies die with CBS and the rest

Since memogate, I've seen more real Newbies rather than troll variety.

I checked the stats last week and there were about 50 percent more new registrations than is normal, beginning the day after Rathergate broke (Saturday). Haven't checked recently but it went on most of last week.

Someone (I honestly cannot remember who) commenting on the Rathergate scandal sometime in the past few weeks said that the bloggers who helped break the forgery story were just a bunch of pajama-wearing nerds on the computer.

If anyone can provide the exact quote, it would be appreciated...

Just realized in props I forgot to thank the creator of the site! Thank you Jim Robinson!

I was expecting Rush to exhort us to Jihad

Hm. Wonder if anyone in WWII wanted to be exhorted to go Kamikaze (besides the Japanese)?

Viva la Pajamahadeen!

Ehhhh...I'm not so wild with having our efforts labelled in the same category of the Islamist Mujahideen.

"I think Freepers should agree on a name. Pajama Brigade, Pajama Patrol, Pajama Squad"

You'd have a better chance at herding cats that getting a concensus on a silly name around here.

The "elite" media has one view of the 'correct' relationship between those who select and re-package the news and those who receive this news...

It is to be a 'one way communication' only....it is autocratic...you are not allowed to question
introduce other points of view or argue...unless pre approved by the elite media...

Only those who have press badges should be allowed to report news..

Others who are not in the club are to be squashed...ridicule works well..lawyers even better.

The idea of the elite being replaced by the audience peons upsets them...

Like patients who take responsibility for their own treatment...or those who have the savvy to repair their own vehicles, build or repair their own homes...or police their own neighborhoods

The news mafia sees the common man rejecting their propaganda and exposing them for what they are...

as the king sees rebellion in his kingdom....

imo

I believe I distinctly heard Rush use the word, PAJAMAHADEEN!

Thankfully, you heard wrong. Rush referred to it as the "Pajama Brigade."
