Nation Definitely Not In Trouble, We've Been Through This Before
September 21, 2004 | Bush4304

With the beheading of the 2nd American today, many Americans are wondering if this will ever come to an end. Many seem to just sit back in their chairs as they watch the news in dis-belief, wondering maybe what the future holds for our nation. Some may even feel like this is a new challenge, that we have never seen before. Although this may be the first time we have seen a war of this sort, this is not the first time we have fought terrorism on American soil before.

After the French Revolution many terrorists (who called themselves anarchists) still remained in European countries, and during the very beginning of the 20th century when immigration was on the rise, they poured into America also. They bombed wallstreet, and even assasinated President William Mckinley.

Needless to say, the terrorists of the past did not prevail, neither will the ones of today. Although the media and today's democratic party like to undermind our troops over seas, I am still a 100 percent believer in the heart and soul of this country. We will always prevail over evil.

As soon as the election is over, and there's no longer any hope of Kerry winning, these incidents will begin to subside.

Hopefully with the terrorists they will. But, I have this suspicious feeling that if Bush wins the Democrats will try to impeach him for something.

I had a little epiphany the other day. Some movie I was watching made the point how a small man can overpower a larger enemy. It all comes down to will power.

How did Hitler take a bankrupt nation, thwart restrictions against mobilization, and build an army that crushed France in days, and took its tanks into Stalingrad?

It happened while others watched. France didn't have the will to do anything. And neither did England's Chamberlain. For various reasons no one had the will to confront this evil man and his plans. All it would have taken was a very small army in the mid-30s to stop the tyrant. Yet no one did. They made excuses. Called Hitler a reasonable man.

I hope and wonder does the West possess the will to fight? Our enemy has a psychotic will that needs a determined will on our part. So far I think the jury is still out. Many even deny terror as a real threat. Will we grow up? Will we start calling our enemy by its name?

"I hope and wonder does the West possess the will to fight?"

How about showing the videos on broadcast TV?

It is for these reasons also that I thank God for the men and women who fought against Sadaam in both Iraq wars. We can make many comparisons to Hitler and Sadaam: both killed many of their own people, both invaded neighboring countries and thought America wouldn't have the guts to do anything (Sadaam ofcourse invaded Kuwait).

As I look back, I thank God that George H.W. Bush was president during the first Gulf War, and that he did have the guts to stop Sadaam even when libs were telling him to do nothing.

However, the terrorists declared war on us in 1979. We had seen many hijackings, bombings, attacks, and shootings before we even decided to do anything. When we appeased the terrorists all they did was get stronger.

September 11 can be in many ways compared to Pearl Harbor. Before Pearl Harbor we had sat and watched the axis of evil gain power, while we as Americans just watched. Then the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and all of the sudden we were in a war that European countries had been fighting for years. Before September 11, we were attacked numerous times by terrorists, but still we watched them grow stronger and stronger throughout the years. Then September 11 came along, and we found ourself in a war that we should have engaged in a long, long time ago.

I wouldn't be half suprised if they tried, but Kerry's defeat will be a blow to the Islamic terrorists as it will eliminate their only hope, as well as free President Bush to act more strongly in reaction to the acts.

Any impeachment attempt would certainly fail, I don't think its a matter of concern.

Yes, GWB is definitely a man of conviction willing to call a spade a spade.

Kerry will bend over for the UN. The UN that has yet to address the ongoing slavery in the Sudan.
