What Would You Ask the Libertarian Party Candidate? (FReeper to Interview Him)

On October 5th, for purposes of a local TV program I host, I'll have the opportunity to conduct a one-hour, one-on-one interview with Michael Badnarik, Libertarian Party presidential candidate, who is said to be polling as much as 3% and who could conceivably impact the race in a number of states.

I'd be interested to hear from my fellow FReepers. What do you know about Badnarik? What questions would you want to see asked?

Michael Badnarik: "Well, if 9/11 happened today, it's a crime, it's an international murder. It's a mass murder, not a war. And you prosecute it like any other crime. You find the evidence, you figure out who the perpetrators of the crime are, and then you do what's necessary to bring them to justice. To the best of my knowledge, Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida are the ones that brought the buildings down. At least that's the information that I have given what they broadcast on television. And so we have every justification to go after those people who destroyed the buildings."

Libertarians tend to focus on domestic issues, but with terror being the #1 issue for most Americans, it will be interesting to see what he has to say about this.

Assuming it will be any different from the drivel with the previous L.P. standard-bearer spouted while the bodies were still warm on September 11th: "Ah, it's all our fault for not minding our own bidness! The Islamists are mad at us because we initiated violence by building McDonalds in their neighborhoods, and therefore they were only reacting to our initiation of force or fraud!"

I'd certainly be inclined to ask him that if I had evidence available to back it up. Can you help?

Ask him how the Libertarian position on open borders squares with a war on terrorists where we're trying to keep them out.

If that doesn't work, ask him how any doofus candidate for President thinks they can win when they haven't even built a party at the state or most local levels.

If that doesn't work, ask him why we haven't seen any Libertarian ads on TV.

If that doesn't work, end the interview, because you're obviously talking to someone who is totally irrelevant.
