Great Freep, Florida Freepers!

I'm glad to hear that John Effin' Kerry was greeted in style by intrepid members of the VRWC!

The Kerry meltdown continues...

There are some videos at www.jacksonville.com, one has the guy with Kerry Lied about us sign.
I'm signing off for the night.

We need a Jacksonville ping list!

Bravo Freepers!!!

One question? What was the woman in the news video screaming about the 70's?

(was figuring, she was still there, bad acid maybe?)

Way to go Chieftain!

It kinda gets in your blood after awhile to freep the freaks.

I counter protested the Code Pinkos in Minneapolis for several months. I've never met a more foul-mouthed, down-right meaner group of folks in my life.

I'm a 44 year old mom that grew up on Walter Concrete (wish he woulda sunk then) and the MSM.

My parents steered me right then as I'm doing with my 7-year-old son now.

Vietnam vets are heroes. Always were. Always will be.

Thank you Chieftain for your service and pass it along to the guys that were with you at the FReep.

My memory for your service is long, my patience with liberals is not.

Great Job! Ch. 13's Scott Harris in Orlando reported tonight that he was holding paperwork Kerry had passed out to his supporters at the rally here to be ready to fund a recount if need be.

Great Job.

Below are links for the latest Swift Vets ads where they let America know what a traitor Kerry was after he returned from Nam.

Good for you guys! I hope this makes the news, but given the track record of the media, I doubt they'll talk about it just like they avoided the Kerry protest in DC.

Kerry in JAX 9-21-04 After action report.

Once again Kerry swooped into JAX for a 5 hr hate Bush rantfest.

It still confuses me on how tickets for this Kerry event were "sold", this was a "Townhall" meeting after all. A very ONE-SIDED townhall meeting.

I didn't find out where or when Kerry was going to be here until Monday night around 6pm.

I guess Kerry doesn't like giving us "protesters" time to plan a counter-rally.

Down at curb side:

Two things still amaze me about Kerry supporters, they are either blinded by hate for Pres. Bush or when pressed with questions on their one line quips they spit out while walking by don't hold up after I start asking them questions.

One guy walked by and sniped----

Guy: "BUSH LIED"

Ox: "Oh really? How did he lie?"

Guy: "He lied about WsMD, he said Iraq had WsMD."

Ox: "So you're telling me Saddam NEVER had WsMD? Then what did the 5,000 people gassed at Haljab die from!?"

Guy: "Well, fine then where did they go?"

Ox: "Hummm, Syria!"

Guy: "Ah Ha, See Saddam got rid of them."

Ox: [rolling eyes and walking away]

Some Kerry supporters REALLY liked us they kept give us the "YOUR #1" sign with their middle finger.

I did hear one old guy, with Kerry stickers on him, say "Bush caused 9-11" during a conversation w/ a Bush supporter trying to get him to give us some reason why he was FOR Kerry and not against Bush.

I got interview by a Times Union reporteret (JENNIFER CHILDRESS). Explained the whole Section 3, Amendment 14 argument on why Kerry can't Constitutionally be elected Pres.

But after reading her article.........."while outside about two dozen people held signs in protest of Kerry's visit." was all we got.

It was GREAT hearing all the people honking their car horns as they drove by. MANY thumbs up and W's/4's.

One of the Kerrylied vets mentioned that he was noticing alot of African-American men and women driving by giving us the thumbs up.

I stayed until Kerry left around 6:10pm.......ugggggggg

I did get to see Carl Cameron give his 6pm news cast.

Before his news cast he walked across the street to get something out of his car and fixed his hair by using his window as a mirror.

He was about 50 feet from my so I put two thumbs up and yelled "FOX NEWS ROCKS!" he said "Thanks" after I had his attention I yelled back "Brit Hume should moderate a Debate."

GREAT FReep, I can't wait till Bush comes to JAX!

Hey Chieftain, it was great to meet you at the KerryLied Rally in Washington.

Here's another report on the Jacksonville protest emailed to me by Swift vet Pete Webster:

-----

Kerry came to visit us today. Just heard about it last night and we sent out an immediate alarm, "One if by land, two if by sea...." We rallied our forces and were there to welcome him, about fifty of us with a bull horn. We hit him pretty hard. We stuck our Kerry Lied signs right in his face. He ducked down behind the seat, as he went past us, in his big black Tahoe, the SUV he doesn't own (just uses), so we couldn't get another photo of his face looking all pissed off. Some town meeting. Only the loving faithful were allowed inside. The tickets were only sold to registered democrats who voted in the last primary. Not exactly what I'd call an exercise in democracy. Then, he hid inside the auditorium for over an hour after the meeting was over to try to out wait us. I can't believe he is so afraid of a few Swifties. The most impressive factor was the public support.

We had 8-12 folks who passed by give us the Kerry salute; you know, the extended middle finger so often seen expressing male disgust. Another half dozen yelled at us from across the street, but the multitude of folks driving by constantly flashed a thumbs up and honked at us saying, "Way to go," as they drove past. Their numbers were legion. Quite satisfying. We had some Vietnam vets, a couple black vets, Some marines, some women, and a few college kids; quite a nice mix. We were constantly being interviewed and made all three evening news programs. My wife's big banner was the centerpiece. She made a huge replica of the Vietnam campaign ribbon with big black letters across the front saying, "Kerry Lied." It was a hit.

The media reported it was "sold out" and "SRO," etc Well, I stood out side the main entrance for five hours, from two hours before it began until an hour after it was over, and watched the audience come and go. They could not have numbered more than five to seven hundred folks, total. What happened was just this. The tickets were totally controlled by the Democratic HQ who knew how many they had sold, or disbursed. They then determined the size of the room they would need, to ensure it would be crowded, and had the partitions adjusted to fit. Clever! If they had opened the entire convention center up, they would have bounced around like a pea in a cavern. What a fraud. We were a hit anyway, but man, I'm exhausted from standing on the concrete, side walk. We gave real meaning to Operation Street Corner. Baby, we owned that street corner. They got me a chair about half way through, but I was still on my feet too much for my liking.

-- Pete Webster
