So, what's the price of the stock for the company that makes Kool-Aid these days?
Should I invest now, or wait another week? ;-)

"It is obviously against CBS News standards and those of every other reputable news organization to be associated with any political agenda," CBS News said in a statement.
IF SeeBS news believes this to be true, then WHY do they continue to employ so many self admitted leftwingnuts!?

I was pretty sure that Mary Mapes would be "resigning" over this; now I am quite sure.
Mapes, when she supplied Lockhart with Burkett's number, acted as a political operative. This is wholly inappropriate. I look for her to submit her resignation within a week.
To: kattracks
"Lockhart said they did not discuss the documents and Burkett used the conversation to offer his advice about how Kerry should run his campaign." Yeah, and pigs fly.

I just chuckle at all the libiots trying to put a positive spin on this....saying things like, "yes, it was bad to air the piece with a forged document, but Dan Rather would NEVER do this intendedly.
To which I say... BULL____!!!!Rather knew EXACTLY what he was doing by going ahead with the story.
His arrogance prohibited him from thinking that we, the little people (PJ People, if you will) would call him on it. I mean, he's gotten away with it so many times before, why would this be different? I guess he didn't take into account some very sharp FReepers!
Well Dan, guess the JOKE is on you this time.
And Kudo to Bernard Goldberg, author of "Bias" for having the guts to out "The Dan", several years ago.

Then please identify the party that Ms. Mapes notified with the Bush campaign. You know, to let them know about the damaging 60 minutes report coming out. Just like you did with Joe Lockhart.....

If Cronkite was "the most trusted man in America" couldn't we call Rather "the most busted man in America"?

Aly Colon, ethics group leader at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, said if that is the case, CBS News may have crossed the line. Wrong. If that is the case, CBS ipso facto crossed the line. CBS may have conspired with the Democratic party to effect a bloodless coup against the United States of America.

I saw a college professor being interviewed about her class in Journalism 101 - and she said if one of her students ran with a story after viewing the source of the documents, the handwriting comparison and the fonts being so modern - she would have failed the student.
