MCAULIFFE: WILL GOP ANSWER IF THEY KNOW WHETHER STONE, OTHERS HAD INVOLVEMENT WITH CBS DOCUMENTS?
Washington, D.C. - In response to false Republican accusations regarding the CBS documents, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe issued this statement:
In todays New York Post, Roger Stone, who became associated with political dirty tricks while working for Nixon, refused to deny that he was the source the CBS documents.
Will Ed Gillespie or the White House admit today what they know about Mr. Stones relationship with these forged documents? Will they unequivocally rule out Mr. Stones involvement? Or for that matter, others with a known history of dirty tricks, such as Karl Rove or Ralph Reed?

"WTF! They pass off forgeries and want the GOP to "come clean" about them? This just gets more unbelievable by the minute."
What do you expect? It's an old tactic, to accuse your enemy of exactly what you've done. It's a smoke screen.
**SNORT**. THIS attempt at misdirection won't work. DNC, the guilty always cry the loudest and longest, and you guys have been screeching like banshees since 2000. Come clean yourselves. Reveal the source.
"...The hot rumor in New York political circles has Roger Stone, the longtime GOP activist, as the source for Dan Rather's dubious Texas Air National Guard "memos."
The irony would be delicious, since Rather became famous confronting President Nixon, in whose service a very young Stone became associated with political "dirty tricks."
Reached at his Florida home, Stone had no comment..."
Additionally I just heard Terry McAuliffe just say the DNC had no association with the production and DISSEMINATION of the memos and is talking about the Post's Stone rumor on Lester Holt on MSNBC.
References to the memo appeared on the DNC Site were up well after it was clear that the Memos were bogus and were up as of yesterday.
DNC still references the forged memos on website.
Now they are tryin to spin the Stone angle.
This is what I'd like to see in the first debate next week:
Kerry: Mr. Bush should tell us now what he or his campaign did to produce those CBS documents! What does Mr. Bush know, and when did he know it.
Bush: [Twilight Zone Theme] Doo-doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo.
Either that, or Rove is such a genious that he was able to produce documents that were sufficiently convincing to manipulate Burkett, Mapes, Rather, the entire CBS News organization, media producers at the DNC (who were 'coincidently' working on their "Fortunate Son" campaign to coincide with the 60 Minutes piece) but not sufficiently convincing to stand up to scrutiny once outside the partisan collective of Democrats and "journalists", thereby knowing that they would be seen as suspicious by numerous unrelated individuals on the internet who would create such a noise that their fraudulent nature would become apparent to everyone, and furthermore knowing that the negative publicity would impact Rather, CBS, Kerry, and the DNC.
I'm sticking with the "McAuliffe is delusional" theory.
Eww. Were you sure to check for ticks, warts and leeches when you left?

lol it seems to always work that is what is so sad...the masses are asses.
*L* .. I've got my computer double protected .. and yes, I am paranoid
GEEEEZ....just clicked on the link. Good one. I fell for it.
For the record, I can neither confirm nor deny that Delapaz had anything to do with the forged documents.
It gets better than that, as Romans 13:1 teaches, "there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

Admit nothing, deny everything, and make counter-accusations. Typical MO.
"The lunatic lefties are incredible.
However a vital member of their MSM just mortally wounded itself with the forged documents, and that is impacting the others.
So their effectiveness in Rathering America has been reduced."
Well what you say is correct. What is getting ignored via the press, seems all are too delighted in trashing CBS their fellow thinkers is that there is no coverage about the new Swiftees ad, JFKerry in Paris.
Moderate democrats will not like what this ad tells and JFKerry Inc. knows this all too well.
Well actually with McAwful it is not
Are you listening to Dom G playing the audio of Terry MCliff today
Look at Kerry's speech today. Look at this accusation. The Deaniacs have taken over.He always was a Deaniac. He started his career as an anti-war leftist and that's where he's going to end it.
I have Hugh on ...and he is subjecting us to Kerry on Letterman.
It appears that the article posted on this thread, is only in the on-line edition of the Post(from yesterday not today), which in no way says what the DNC infers. I have both printed versions (today and yesterday) and that story is NOT printed in the editorial. In fact, yesterday there was a PostOpinion Special: John Kerry & Vietnam. It is a blistering account that concluded, and I quote: "Much more could be said about John Kerry and the Vietnam years, but this primer may suggest why Kerry has been keeping his distance from the press these last six weeks. Kerry can put some of these questions to rest -- by signing the standard military form to allow his records to be made public. Until those records are released, many questions will remain unanswered." The New York Post is a very conservative newspaper, and I knew it was a trick by the DNC.
I listened to Kalb on the way home from work and almost ran off the road when he said that it was more important to address the issue in FAKE EFING DOCUMENTS then the fact that there has been a crime committed here trying to destroy a Presidency. And now I'm sitting here at home watching the demonstration outside of see BS today...loved it....BTW - for any of ya'll in Houston, they just showed scenes from the HLS&R....Our great rodeo is now on FNC! Now we're not just famous for George Strait but for Lucy Ramirez..ho ho
