Chris,
I thank you and thanks from my family.
Those like you that step up to the defense of their country are the finest among us.
The fine people of this country are firmly behind you even if the squeaky wheels in the liberal media garner all the attention.
Please convey to your brethren left behind in harms way, that as they defend America in arms, we here at Free Republic are doing our best to pull down the evil liberal media that constantly attempts to tarnish them.
Thank You for your service.

Hey Chris,
I'm a mom of three from Ohio. My kids were scared when they saw those towers fall, and after learning all about the terrorism around the world. There's no keeping it from them, nor would I want to. They need to know it's a dangerous world.
They also know brave men have been keeping us safe. They know the bad guys are super concentrated in Iraq right now, because that's where our men are. They also know those men volunteered to put their life on the line to keep us safe. As a mom, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My two older kids are boys. You guys are their heroes. One wants to be in the Navy, and also maybe be a policeman. The other wants to be a marine. My smallest, a daughter, wants to be a teacher some day. Thankfully, because of guys like you, she can.
Tonight I pray you have a bit of a party, a bit of a rest, and a whole lot of well deserved love. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His loving care. Welcome home.

Dear Chris,
The words "thank you" can hardly even begin to express the gratitude that I feel and that America owes you. You make us all very proud. Thanks for your service, your patriotism and your professionalism.
Welcome home and please enjoy your well earned, well deserved time with your family. God bless you all.

"Never in the history of the world has any soldier sacrificed more for the freedom and liberty of total strangers than the American soldier. And, our soldiers don't just give freedom abroad, they preserve it for us here at home.
"For it has been said so truthfully that it is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag."
These words were spoken (and quoted) by former Marine Zell Miller, a Senator from Georgia. Of all the things I could say, this seemed to most adequately say my thanks to you for making sure that I can sleep at night, and work during the day, in freedom.
God's blessings, Semper Fi, and welcome home!!!

Dear Chris,
If I knew how... this post would be decorated w/ a big WELCOME HOME sign, lots of red, white and blue balloons and the American Flag...words are all I can offer though.
Please know you have my family's full support; on our cars, in our homes, in our prayers and in our hearts.
I can tuck my children in bed at night and sleep in peace because of the brave soldiers on the front line.
THANK YOU! and WELCOME HOME!

You should let this thread expand, then print the whole thing out and take it over to him, and let him know that there ARE good people out there that much appreciate his sacrifice!
