Could be right........I just don't think even Cleland is that stupid. A face-to-face meeting would have been HIGHLY risky. I have little doubt that they communicated directly, probably by phone.
But you're right on a key point; how they communicated is of little importance.........the fact that they did communicate is what counts. I want to see that faux hero Cleland swing for this one. He's a despicable excuse for a human being.

Anyone "up to the task" to call CBS Newsroon at 212-975-3691 and voice themselves ???????

Burkett is probably "coming clean" because CBS worked a deal with him. Any lawsuit will get a lower payoff out of Burkett than a corporation like CBS. CBS probably promised that they would compensate Burkett for anything he sued for plus a percentage if he volunteers to fall on the sword. That way, CBS winds up paying a lot less and Burkett gets the protection of corporate CBS's resources and lawyers.

Burkett said he arranged to get the documents during a trip to Houston for a livestock show in March. But instead of being met at the show by Ramirez, he was approached by a man who asked for Burkett, handed him an envelope and quickly left, Burkett recounted. This guy sounds like a publicity hound, an egomaniac, and an avid reader of Robert Ludlum novels.

After he received the documents in Houston, Burkett said, he drove home, stopping on the way at a Kinko's shop in Waco to copy the six memos. In the parking lot outside, he said, he burned the ones he had been given and the envelope they were in. Ramirez was worried about leaving forensic evidence on them that might lead back to her, Burkett said, acknowledging that the story sounded fantastic. "This is going to sound like some damn sci-fi movie," he said. What a pathological liar. How long before the real story comes out?
The guy even knows how contrived this all sounds when he says it, but he still says it. Give me a break.

The only reason I'm going on the record is because I've got to tell the story to save my name. The Federal Witness Program will require that you lose that name.

Does "Conn" have a first name? Do we know any more about him?

According to Google,
this: is Lucy Ramirez.
Bethca I'm right, too....

I think these documents, in one form or another, have been circulating for a long time, at least since February, but probably longer.
It's possible that the content has been around for a year or more, but the actual forgeries created recently.
I am confident that Burkett is responsible for the content.

I would like to submit the theory that Lucy Ramirez is Teresa Heinz Kerry.
She's crazy enough.
