I agree...the self-righteous hatred of the left has turned them into snarling animals who will snap at any morsel to tear Bush apart...my own brother-in-law hates Bush to the point of irrational bitterness...he's normally a pretty nice guy but the Iraq War has freaked him out (he does have draft age sons so maybe it is a fear thing)...when I said to him that his hatred for Bush made no real sense because the enemy was fascism not the Republican party...he calmed down and agreed that fascism was the true enemy...but he continues to think that the NYT is an objective news source.

How can President Bush debate someone now complicit in a forgery mounted to drive him out of office? The debates really don't matter a hoot right now. So then why are these documents being featured in those anti-Bush "Fortunate Son" ads?? This stinks to high heaven. Something's going on.

So, let's see now.

The DNC had the memos before C^BS, and knew they were fake. On the basis of these fake memos, they prepared the "Fortunate Son" campaign, complete with coordinated talking points and video. They sent Harkin and Edwards out to demand the President respond to the charges in the fake memos. Mc^Awful said the documents were authentic, that they backed C^BS, and also demanded a full accounting from the President.

On nothing more than the basis of this utterly preposterous sequence of coincidences, it is transparently obvious that at a minimum the D^NC and C^BS coordinated an attack on the President.

To any of my fellow Freepers who are JAG:

Have C^BS and the D^NC falsely accused the President and/or others of a criminal conspiracy and UCMJ violation based on forged Federal documents? If so, are there heads to be had?

Look for further flurries of disinformation from the DNC/Kerry campaign to focus the attention on CBS.

Every time I see or hear of Tony Coelho, it reminds me of the song "I Eat Cannibals," the double-entendre laden novelty song of the '80s recorded by one-hit wonder British girl group Total Coelo.

Total Coelo was sort of the prototype for the much more successful group some ten years hence, the Spice Girls. Couldn't sing all that well, but really hot.

Yes, I thought about that. But if you believe Coelho (a stretch, I admit), the DNC knew the documents were fake.

If it is indeed a crime (not just a civil matter) to falsely accuse the President and/or others of a conspiracy, I'm wondering if the DNC and CBS can themselves be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit that crime. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't believe such a conspiracy requires active coordination (even though I think there's a strong likelihood that direct coordination did occur).
