Viacom knows that any sugarcoating of their "investigation" will allow the stench to linger forever in the SeeBS anchor chair.
I predict that SeeBS will point to the Democratic National Committee as they turn on their bed partner. This is the only way for Viacom to save the franchise of SeeBS.
For Viacom, the health of SeeBS is more important than their liberal Democratic agenda.

Ahhhh, yes, the truth about Buchanan. I see you as member since 2001. We debated that quite lively here at the time. One day, when he's dead, they'll write a book about it. Man, he went from one position to the other, without any logic, just like Kerry now. He went from 6% to a fraction of a percent, and nobody in the MSM the wiser. Buchanan, what a hoot. How Nixonian of him. Like Bush, he's a lot smarter than he gets credit for.

Well, I think this was a mulit-layered offense. They were going to tie drugs into the mix but who knows what else?
Mapes is the one that was behind the Abu Grabib photos. I don't for a minute think this ended with disobeying an order from an officer. They had other items they were building up to.
Looking back on it now I see that it was a watershed moment that culminated this week.
It gave the media courage to attack Reagan on Iran Contra, to claim that George HW Bush went abroad to ask the Iranians to hold the hostages to help Reagan in the election, to destroy Dan Quayle, defeat the first President Bush with a draft dodging lying corrupt piece of garbage.
And now at last, the silent majority is in charge of the TRUTH and nothing will ever be the same......thankfully.
I am with you -- My Mom reminded me the other day that I wrote 60 Minutes and CBS when Rather was giving his biased reporting from Vietnam and told them to fire him. Some things never change! I am still doing it! :)
