Maybe the Rep Convention made 10% of NY'ers realize that 9/11 took place in their backyard. Plus, they saw all of the goofballs who were protesting and didn't want to be associated with the lot.

As another upstate conservative, I have been telling people for a long time, "NYC will go Bush". Unions may like commie principles but people will vote for the one they think will keep them the safest and most lively and worry about their pension funds later, if they survive that long.

Even more important, when it looks like a landslide for Bush, the tendency will be for the Dems to stay home in droves, helping our candidates further down the ballot in some swing or blue states.

This election might be over by the time the polls close on the East Coast!

There were two other polls released and discussed at length here on FR last week that had similar numbers -- in the single digits.

Kerry is only spending TV money in 13 states.

How many states is Bush spending TV money?

Nearly a quarter of the state's Democrats now say they will vote for Bush.

Ed Koch Democrats. This is GREAT!

I hope the President makes the most of his trip to the UN. Maybe go to a place where PA, NY and NJ come together right after the speech. Could shake Lurch up pretty good.
