Bill Jones is Working Undercover

There's an important political race going on in California that will affect how residents are represented in Washington for the next six years. The problem is that the challenger trying to unseat the state's more liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, is running a top-secret, stealth campaign.

Nobody has heard anything about it. And, apparently, that's the way former California Secretary of State Bill Jones likes it. The election is less than 45 days away, and the Senate race is still California's biggest secret; no one knows anything about it. Talk about Republican incompetence -- this issue takes the prize.

Here we have a popular Republican governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose poll numbers are in the stratosphere and who could theoretically be giving...

One of the most important US Senate races going on in the nation is happening right here in California. The only problem is that no one has heard anything about it. Jones' website is pathetic, the link is in the article. His campaign is even worse. He's missing all the hot button issues and he has the charisma and enthusisam of horse face Kerry.

Get me some financial backing, PR people and access to talk radio & other media and I'll take on the Check Bouncer for the Senate, since Jones doesn't have the backbone.

I've been a fan of Sparks for a while. He nails another one. I'd sure like to see Boxer gone.

ROFL!!! Okay.. don't throw stuff at me. I think this is excellent. It just tickles me. Why should Bill Jones be ruining an account just to be opposite Barbara Boxer who has spent years going out on a limb in re WRONG ON WOT, WRONG ON HEALTHCARE, WRONG ON.. x y z. WRONG ON NATIONAL DEFENSE? And All Bill Jones Needs to say at his website is: I was Secretary of State for X years. I committed no frauds, nor engaged in criminal wrong-doing. Vote for me (and not "Shelley".) This is a very ergonomic, cost-effective campaign, IMHO. lol!

You want my advice?

Maybe he can fly his plane under the Golden Gate a few times with a banner behind it.

That's about the only way he's gonna make any news programs out here, unfortunately.

The CA GOP does have a way of putting out a lot of stealth candidates the last few elections. ;-)

Arnold should use his star name to draw attention to Jones. Don't know why he's not doing it.

L.A.'s City Beat (an alternative paper) just ran a glowing cover story on Boxer, painting her as a sensible moderate, a hard-working conscientious senator who's good for California.

BTW, isn't NY's Chuck Schumer up for re-election this year? I was in NY recently, and there was no sight of a senate campaign going on.

It could be that Ahnuld is closer, philosophically, to Babs than to Bill.

This is so true. I haven't heard a thing from him. I voted for him in the primary, and now I wish I hadn't.

Adam, We sent Jones some money early on and I don't thank we have heard from him since. Arnold is not interested in helping anyone as he is to busy smiling at himself in the mirror...

Arnold is not campaigning for any Republicans in the state that I know of, and I volunteer at my local Rep HQ. Arnold is doing nothing, zip, zero, nada to help rebuild the GOP in this state. Arnold appears to be all about Arnold and nothing else.

I was opposed to the recall initially. Once it qualified for the ballot, I wound up voting for Arnold more to help keep Bustamante from winning than for any other reason. But I'm rapidly getting to the point where I'll never vote for Arnold again, because there's no excuse for him not helping out the GOP within this state. He's now the CAGOP leader, after all.

This article could not be more on target. I tried to get involved with the Jones campaign - I made 16 phone calls to every Republican group I could find. The last call referred me to a woman in a nearby town. She was going to have a small fund raiser in her home(50 people) and would call me when the Jones people confirmed. She warned me however that they had already backed out of a prior commitment. The fund raiser never happened. Jones was too busy. Too busy for MONEY?? CA continues to put up losers. A.S. is the exception. We need help! Will somebody save us from Boxer. The last two Republican candidates make Al Gore appear charismatic.
