I wish we could move the clock forward on some people's 15 minutes of fame.

King, 39, has since had a string of run-ins with the law, being arrested for things such as spousal abuse, hit-and-run driving and being under the influence of PCP.

Just your average 'Rat.

I appreciate King's sentiment, "Can't we all get along". To this day, I'm somewhat put off that people mock it. That's a fairly compassionate and positive thing to say after getting clubbed by the police.

BAHAHAHA!

I'm sorry. Mr King is a dope! I can say, yes, he did settle down the riots after the fact. But he still got into big trouble that stemmed from the initial one! Role models, where are they? The best one is so far Bill Cosby.

reginald denny will make the presentation.

Perhaps he will. Give him a drool cup and point him in the right direction, and he'll do anything.

He uttered his famous plea, "Can we all get along?"

Yep, that famous plea ranks up there with this famous line: "Oh, look. It's raining outside."

Or, "Would you like fries with that Big Mac?"

How about: "Could I have change for a dollar please?"

My grandaddy used to call his Smith & Wesson a "peacemaker".
That would be logical since Rodney has managed to do some sort of violent thing or the other regularly. . and now the authorities can't stop him no matter what he does. So, when he gets bored . . . watch out!!

I don't want to remember Rodney King as a peacemaker. But he didn't make those cops beat the sh*T out of him either. I give him a few points for the famous "Can't we get along" line. He could have thrown fuel on the fire and made it a lot worse than it was.
