HBO recently aired a documentary titled Nine Innings from Ground Zero that tells the story of the 2001 World Series in New York. The series helped to bring back hope and optimism to the people of America following September 11. Through interviews with players, fans, families, and even the President, the film recalls a difficult time that we came through together.

BTW, today is the day that the NFL is honoring Pat Tillman. All helmets will have a black #40 sticker, and there will be an honorarium conducted at PATS/Cardinals game.

Thanks for posting.
This is one of my all time favorite moments from our W's presidency. I'll never forget literally sitting on the edge of my seat practically chanting, God keep him safe, God keep him safe.
It was a tremendous act of courage for him to go out on that mound completely alone.
The STRIKE was icing on the cake.

Thanks for this. I was at that World Series and it was my birthday. We won that night, but lost the Series. Too hard to see the screen, if I think about it too much. But those Yankee's did sustain an awful lot of us. GO YANKS! BEAT SOX!!!!!!
