See BS is just plain pathetic. Did you seek Staudt out when you investigated your story in the first place you Clymers?

CBS spokeswoman Sandy Genelius brushed off Staudt's statements: "In a debate this heated, one can hardly expect Gen. Staudt to endorse the point of view that he exerted undue influence." In a debate this heated, I guess one can hardly expect CBS or Dan Rather to endorse the point of view that they've used forged documents in an attempt to harm a sitting President of the United States during wartime.

The CBS position: Everyone who disputes these documents is obviously biased. But when a little old lady who said bush was "selected, not elected" claims they reflect a dead man's sentiments, then, well, that's news!!!

but they will take the word of a 86 year old woman who plainly states that she does not like President Bush... amazing...

Mr. or Ms. Sandy Genelius, whatever you are, just STFU and try to stop being a disgrace to news reportage for a change.

To: GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY
The debate is so one-sided against CBS that the heat is on CBS and no one else.

CBS spokeswoman Sandy Genelius brushed off Staudt's statements: "In a debate this heated, one can hardly expect Gen. Staudt to endorse the point of view that he exerted undue influence." That is sort of true. One usually does not expect people accused of crimes to rush out to take credit for them. Still, CBS is accusing Staudt of a crime--shouldn't they give him a fair chance to respond? The fact that he has been accused by CBS now means CBS can treat him like a criminal? I don't think so.

CBS spokeswoman Sandy Genelius brushed off Staudt's statements: "In a debate this heated, one can hardly expect Gen. Staudt to endorse the point of view that he exerted undue influence." CBS is acting like the DNC. Every witness to their lies gets smeared. I can't think of a worse way to handle a scandal than CBS has for the past 9 days.

What's all the hullabaloo over the "damage" to Raer's credibility? It is news to me that he ever had any credibility to begin with. What's next, an attack on his journalistic objectivity? HA!
