The Swift Vets shouldn't just fold to Disney. They should ask for a legal ruling.

If the Swift Vets can't use footage of an extreme public figure such as a Presidential candidate, it makes things interesting if the network itself wants to pull up some of its own footage to use in a story.

If Disney wins the argument, Republicans ( other than McCain, Hagel, Lugar, etc. ) would be crazy to ever appear on a Democrat network again and Democrats would be crazy to appear on any network where their words could later be used against them.

Why would either want to take the chance that their words could later be used against them?

So... Was ABC one of the dozens of broadcasters which ran the SwiftVets ads a few million times on their political discussion shows? Did they ask permission?
