Lithuania has a strong connection, however, through Patriarch Alexy and the Orthodox church. My guess, anyway. Alexy was just there not too long ago.

True but they like being out from under the Russian boot and would like to keep it that way.

Ok I was wrong. Alexy was just in Estonia, not Lithuania. (He is Estonian by birth).

However, this Link shows some of the strength of the connection, I think.
