FIGHT THE CYBERJIHADISTS
By Michelle Malkin   ·   May 02, 2006 09:14 PM

Last week, cyberjihadists targeted Hosting Matters blogs twice in apparent retaliation for provocative photos posted by Hosting Matters blog Aaron's CC. Over 100 blogs went down.

The hacker's moniker turns up a number of defacements on Google.

For the record: I do not approve of the cartoon Aaron posted that prompted the Saudi-based attacks, but every blogger in the 'sphere worth their bandwidth should vigorously defend his freedom to criticize, ridicule, and challenge the jihadis. If we let a few anonymous Muslim computer thugs dictate what one blogger can say about Mohammed or Islam, who's next?

LOL. Everytime I read/hear a MSM/DNC hack comment on the value of blogs/forums... I get the mental image of a blindfolded, condemned man... inspecting the rifles of his firing-squad.

It's like Louis XIV & Marie Antoinette critiquing the drab dress of their condemners... as they climb the steps to eternity.

THE LAW OF THE BLOGGER, as expounded by Gerard van der Leun. (Via Frank Wilson).

The [Linknotated] Law of the Blogger

NOW this is the Law of the Blogger - as old and as true as the sky;
And the blogger that keeps it may prosper , but the blogger that breaks it must die.

Like the visits that pump up your hit count , Blogger Law runneth forward and back --
For the strength of all blogs is the Blogger that never cuts anyone slack.

Blog daily from news tip and hat-tip; blog long , but blog not too deep, ;
And remember the Pundit's for linking, and forget not that he has to sleep.

The new blog may free flame the Bozos, but, Cub, when thy archives have grown,
Remember the Big Blogs are hunters -- go forth and make Scoops of Thine Own.

Keep peace with the Lords of the Blogsphere -- the Pundit , the Malkin, The Bear;
And trouble not Lileks the Bleater , but always mock Kos in his lair.

When Pack meets with Pack in the Blogsphere , and neither will put down the flame,
Lie down till the Spewers have Blathered -- it always will save you from shame.

When ye flame on a Prince of the Pack , ye must fight him alone and afar,
Lest others take part in the Blog-Pile , and all Blogs be diminished by War .

The URL of the Blogger's his refuge, and where he has made him his home,
Not even the Pundit may post, not even the Hewitt may come.

The URL of the Blogger's his Castle , but when he has blown it too plain,
The Lileks shall send him a Fisking , and so he shall blow it again.

If ye post after midnight , be patient , and wait for the next working day.
Your readers are reading from cube farms and commenting only for play.

Ye may post for yourself , or your country, blog your cats if you must, and ye can;
But post not for the pleasure of Flaming lest you be but a flash in your pan!

If ye plunder a post from a weaker, remember to link for his pride;
Link-Right is the right of the smaller; if you're wrong it'll be him that lied.

Now these are the Laws of the Blogger, and as true and as blue as the sky;
You can link , you can wink , you can blather , but in the end you can't lie.

"I thought I was the only blogger who'd been playing w/Kipling lately. You, however, have set a new standard for us all! Well done, that's a great poem!"

Will Rage Undo The Democrats?

Two items from prominent opinion journalists point to a meltdown in the Democratic base even as they close in on a vulnerable GOP in midterm elections. Jonah Goldberg and Richard Cohen have one thing in common: irrational e-mail. However, while the conservative Goldberg received one ludicrous rant regarding the Jewish conspiracy to control oil, Cohen received thousands of hysterically angry e-mails denouncing him... a  "Digital Lynch Mob": Many on the Left have well-written and provocative arguments, sometimes overheated but usually not irrational. However, a large segment rely on nothing but schoolyard namecalling (as I noted here) and a deep, unrelenting anger colors all of their discourse. It's not just the blogs, either. Not a day goes by when I don't receive some meandering and hyperbolic rant from anonymous individuals...  Comments (51)  "The mistake for Democrats is they have mainstreamed the hate -- since they have nothing else. Think it's bad on the net? It's worse face-to-face....and dumber, if you can believe it.Every myth, every bad joke, every BusHitler reference... "

The left's willful wallowing in Napoleon Hill's "Seven Major Negative Emotions" is why I've long before now stopped taking what they say as "arguments" - and have more properly classified them as "symptoms."

Check of proof:

- (1) Anger and (2) Hatred: these are obvious on their face through the name-calling and epithets that they use as sentence-filling crutches and substitutes for logic.

- (3) Fear: this plays out in their unwillingness to cope with the world as it is, their moral rudderlessness, their defeatism and appeasement-mindedness, and by their dread of confronting the emotional ugliness inside them. Thus, they engage in wishful thinking, self-deception, selective outrage and selective laryngitis, deception of others, and assorted avoidance mechanisms (e.g., projection onto others of their own inner negativity).

- (4) Superstition: manifests itself through the assortment of bizarre conspiracy theories they so easily resort to and tenaciously cling to no matter how hard they're pressed with inconvenient facts.

- (5) Jealousy: this reveals itself through resentment and hostility toward those more industrious and/or prosperous than they are: from hatred of Capitalism (e.g., Walmart) to decrying "tax cuts for the 'ultra-rich,' 'winners of life's lottery.'"

- (6) Greed: reflected in their desire to get "something for nothing" - prosperity without effort, security without sacrifice, rights without responsibilities, risky "alternative lifestyle" behaviors without consequences, or the ability to utter uninofrmed and hateful expressions without running the risk of being criticized for the same.

- (7) Revenge: the lust for which is manifested, for example, in the openly-stated "agenda" of the donkey party if returned to power.

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD

In "Digital Lynch Mob," Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen recounts getting barraged with left-wing letters over his criticism of Stephen Colbert and writes about the raw sewage floating in his e-mailbox.

Newsflash, Richard: They're still throwing rocks. And hurling paint. And Molotov cocktails. And lucky for you, they save their worst invective not for squishy elite liberals, but for minority conservatives.

Austin Bay is slightly amused, slightly annoyed: Allah wields his mighty cluebat. 3,500+ e-mails and counting. Did he really not expect the “Colbert ROCKS, you MURDER” messages when he wrote that column? Doesn’t he read his own newspaper? Ace has written dozens of posts about this phenomenon vis-a-vis Margaret Cho, who gets most of her laughs not because she’s so brilliantly witty but because the audience agrees with her politics and wants to signal that they’re in on “the joke.” Thomas Lifson has more on leftist anger at AT.  Intoxicated by the endocrine-like jolts of energy, the Left has become addicted to anger.

Politics: The Lefty-Blogger Manifesto
Posted by bulldogpundit on Tuesday, May 09, 2006 (17:59:21)

I have to give credit to the highly trafficked moonbat blogger "Atrios" (a/k/a Duncan Black) for doing a great service for all of us. He's made a list of policy ideas which he believes represents a general consensus among lefty bloggers (a/k/a The Democrat Party Base). Of course, I disagree with almost all of the policies on the list (except for, perhaps "end corporate giveaways", but I'm not sure of the context. Does he mean ending corporate welfare, or raising business taxes).

I think it's helpful for all of us to have advance knowledge of what will happen if the Democrats win in 2006 and 2008, as they will have to play to their base to stay in power. And check out the "consensus" on the issue of foreign policy.

The Plot to Destroy Democracy?
Posted by H-Bomb on Tuesday, May 09, 2006 (09:53:22)

There is something decidedly evil, yes evil, in the designs of of the Campaign for a National Popular Vote. It appears that its members—frustrated liberals all—want to subvert American constitutional democracy. All because they know they can’t win a national election while continuing to advocate for goofy public policies no one but a few clowns in the moonbattiest states likes. Instead of changing their policies, they're trying to force those unpopular policies on an unwilling electorate. Scary.

The Victory In Primaries For Conservatives

Over the past week, many of us have written on the frustration felt by conservatives (especially fiscal conservatives) over the past few years. Some believe that the only manner in which to serve notice on the GOP that it cannot take conservative votes for granted is a massive walkout...Today we have an example of what can be accomplished through active engagement rather than disengagement. In Pennsylvania, primary voters have unseated the two Republican leaders in the state Senate that gave the body an unpopular pay raise, joining thirteen of their incumbent House colleagues in getting the boot... The existing Republican leadership in Pennsylvania outraged fiscal conservatives with their pay raises and spending habits. However, instead of declaring defeat and retreating to their homes, these conservatives organized and found candidates for primaries -- especially those for the leadership that betrayed them. They donated, raised more funds, campaigned, and ensured a strong turnout to counter the incumbent advantage. And they succeeded.  Comments (32)

Mainstreaming 9/11 Conspiracy

The 9/11 conspiracy kooks are trying to legitimize their evil delusions, and mainstream media seems only too willing to help. This week Richard Curtis, Ph.D., a professor of philosophy at Seattle University and certified barking moonbat, was given op-ed column space by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer to spew nonsense about the September 11 terror attacks: 9/11 Commission report is a lielink: 138 comments

I live in Brooklyn Heights and was standing on the promenade when the plane shot across the sky and hit the first tower. We who live in NYC and saw what happened are so tired of these Ph.D.'s on the other side of the country telling us what happened.

#18 Terp Mole  5/18/2006 08:08AM PDT

Last night, I spent about an hour (vainly) trying to convince an (otherwise conservative) college student that America didn't back Osama in Afghanistan against the Soviets-- it's just a Michael Moore meme.

Then I flipped on CSPAN Morning Edition this morning and heard some moonbat barking up the "Loose Change" film.

The lies are slowly seeping into the culture. Next thing you know, they'll believe Reagan bombed Kaddafi into submission (and Lockerbie was just a fluke).

"They're just too scared to face the truth. The thought that there is an enemy out there that wants us dead, that wants us to submit to their religion and dominate us, is terrifying. It means they would have to fight, and they're too scared to do that. It's much more comforting to fantasize that Bush did it (because I suspect most of them, in their heart of hearts, know he really didn't, and, furthermore, they're really in no danger attacking him).  They're scared. That's the long and the short of it. "

...here's a great smackdown of the 9/11 Conspiracy idiots by Penn and Teller (video from YouTube): "Did You Do That Hard Hitting Data Research in Your Ass?"

A Political Mentos Ad

The creepiest political ad ever made, for Ned Lamont, features Markos Moulitsas “Screw Them” Zuniga sneaking around and peeping through a window as Lamont gives a cut-and-run speech, then bursting into the room with a bunch of weirdly jacked-up progressive pals and grinning into the camera like a lunatic.

Really. You’re not gonna believe it. Ned Lamont for Senate - On the Air!

More Proof the Left is the Fifth Column

Newbusters reports the USA reporter, Leslie Cauley,who "broke" the fallacious "domestic spy" story is a  rather large donor to the Democrats. A Democrat Donor. Think about that and the implications of this traitor's actions.These actions are the work of the enemy, the fifth column. We are at war for our very lives and these people have taken sides against us, against America.

Consider the timing of the article, the emphatic  denials by the phone companies, all of those "anonymous" sources, and now her outing as a Democrat donor – this wreaks of conspiracy.

$2,000 donoted to former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, according to a search of The Center for Responsive Politics Web site, www.opensecrets.org

-- USA Today Reporter a Democratic Donor; Phone Company Demands Retraction

Cauley's link to a Democratic campaign seems likely to further cloud the credibility of her story. Two of the three phone companies Cauley fingered, BellSouth and Verizon, have since denied the accuracy of the May 11 USA Today story, and BellSouth yesterday went so far as to demand the newspaper “retract the false and unsubstantiated statements” made by Cauley in her piece.

There have also been questions about the timing of the story, which was given huge play on USA Today’s front-pages shortly before the former head of the National Security Agency, General Michael Hayden, was due to face confirmation hearings to be the next CIA director, and given the fact that many of the key points of the story were actually reported last December by the New York Times.

Friday’s USA Today carries BellSouth’s demand of a retraction on page 4A, below a more prominent story headlined “Senators challenge Hayden on surveillance,” with partial transcripts of General Hayden being asked yesterday about the claimed NSA database program. According to today’s USA Today:

“BellSouth asked USA Today on Thursday to ‘retract the false and unsubstantiated statements’ about the company that it contends were in a May 11 story about a database of domestic calling records maintained by the National Security Agency.

In a letter to the newspaper's publisher, Craig Moon, the company noted that the story said BellSouth is ‘working under contract with the NSA’ to provide ‘phone call records of tens of millions of Americans’ that have been incorporated into the database.

‘No such proof was offered by your newspaper because no such contracts exist,’ stated the letter, portions of which were read by spokesman Jeff Battcher. ‘You have offered no proof that BellSouth provided massive calling data to the NSA as part of a warrantless program because it simply did not happen.’ Read it all

Wonkette - Malkin Cat Fight?
Excerpt: Alex Pareene, a writer for Gawker Media’s “Wonkette” blog, has belatedly discovered that Michelle Malkin has a video blog (the rest of us knew about a month ago). This occasions a rather vulgar self-dialogue with the punch line “...

A Revealing Lack Of Consistency

Why is it that the same people who claim to stand for diversity and the dignity of the individual manage to deride their political opponents in the most bigoted and degrading terms? I understand that many people do not find Michelle Malkin to their taste. However, what we find is that Michelle's critics continuously reveal themselves as immature, chauvinistic, and sexually frustrated. Like clockwork, when she started v-blogging, a blogger had to make a reference to it as some sort of pornography, only this time the blogger is Alex Pareene, one of the new writers at the professional blog Wonkette. Rather than find something significant to criticize, rather than opposing one of Michelle's pieces with actual argument, Pareene instead decided to post this exchange: Yeah, yeah, that's the highly original Wonkette for you. Alex can't even be bothered to come up with a new smear; instead, he just exhumes the tired cliche of referring to Michelle as a whore. The only humor comes by accident as Wonkette's commenters refer to Michelle as a hater. It's a cowardly tactic besides being immature and (in this case) misogynistic. "The problem that these people have with Michelle Malkin is that she calls a spade a spade, and can back it up to boot. This is why they hate her so, especially given that she is female and Asian and so does not fit into their PC pigeonholes."

BY their Acts Ye Shall Know Google

Do no evil? Google is evil. Check this out. New Media Journal (go over to the site) has been labeled a HATE SITE but Google considers Hezbollah's Al Manar a legit news sources? Who the f*ck are they kidding?  (hat tip Cinnamon Stillwell).

 » Google Censors Infidels from The Amboy Times
Atlas informs us that New Media Journal has been labeled a hate site. [Read More] "Google is staffed at the highest levels by the same type of insulated lefties that commonly populate the MSM. Their view is that liberal positions are virtuous and moral; conservative positions are mean, immoral, oppressive, and so on." What can be done? Simple. Do not use Google or any seach engine (like AOL, that syndicates Google search). Try Yahoo! or MSN.

AT GAY PATRIOT: "I just finished Mary Cheney’s book Now It’s My Turn: A Daughter’s Chronicle of Political Life and recommend it as the most important book addressing a gay topic of the year, if not the past few years. Indeed, it is must-read book for anyone who wishes to talk honestly about the Bush Administration’s record on gay issues." I have already noted how it shows what a good man Dick Cheney is and how few gay leaders and activists are willing to acknowledge his positive record on gay issues...Cheney has welcomed Mary’s partner, Heather, into the family, treating her as he would a child’s different-sex spouse. Indeed, on Election Night 2004, Heather and Mary slept with him (though on different sofas and chairs) in his White House office. ( and backhoe agrees with this, FWIW )

We Don't Need No Stinking Badges

Iranian blogger Arash at Kamangir looked into yesterday’s National Post story that Iran planned to force Jews to wear yellow badges: Kamangir: Badges for Jews, A Hoax! (Hat tip: Adloyada.)

The National Post has also backed down from the story: Experts say report of badges for Jews in Iran is untrue.

LGF noted the questions about the story a few hours after our original post, but I see that quite a few moonbat bloggers are trying to make an issue of this. Just so we’re all on the same page, looking at the same context, reading from the same reality-based netroots script if you will, here’s an LGF Search for “Ahmadinejad,” to remind the left what he’s actually been saying. http://littlegreenfo...
good post made earlier in the day by Catttt on this subject

UPDATE at 5/20/06 8:40:33 pm:

Here’s Allahpundit’s post on the story, with numerous updates: Is the Iranian yellow-badges story true? Oh yeah, that’s really somebody trying to hype a phony story.

LGF noted the questions about the story a few hours after our original post, but I see that quite a few moonbat bloggers are trying to make an issue of this.

What a shame those moonbat bloggers didn't read any of the first 49 posts in the original thread. If they had, they would have seen two posts in particular:

Fifteen minutes after Charles posted the thread, I posted #34.

Four minutes later, got milk? posted the same link at #49.

Other posters also posted links to articles questioning the report.

Less than 20 minutes passed before the accuracy of the original report was questioned in the comments. Charles took less than 4 hours to update the story.

In other words, the blogosphere worked. Information was posted, questioned and doubts noted - in next to time at all.

Able Danger Documents Discovered?

The Able Danger blog has news from a FOIA request filed by Scott Malone of NavySeals.com and Christopher Law of PublicEdCenter.org that has produced an interesting response from the Pentagon. When they demanded the release of all information regarding the Able Danger project, the DoD rejected the request after a bit of bureaucratic misdirection. However, they acknowledged the existence of over 9500 pages of documentation -- apparently the same paperwork that they told Congress no longer existed: The assertion that 9500 pages of evidence still exists at the Pentagon will no doubt surprise members of Congress that received little from their investigations into the program. Hopefully this will pique their curiosity once more. Be sure to read all of the links at the Able Danger blog.

Hip, Edgy Racism at Wonkette

Appalling offhanded racism and sexism, brought to you by the hip, edgy, enlightened lefties at Wonkette. link: 110 comments --The truth is, LLLs give themselves a complete pass when it comes to being racist against people they don't like, but condemn even the slightest mention of race by anyone else."Wonkette is a "brand," like Mrs. Butterworth or Barbie. Not only is Wonkette not a blogger, she's not even a person. Just a marketing concept. Now staffed by men, no less."

An inconvenient blog

Our friend Pat Cleary at the National Association of Manufacturers was astonished to find his Shop Floor blog included in the links provided by Al Gore's blog, which touts his new film on global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth." Pat devotes a section of his blog to debunking arguments by the likes of Gore about global warming. Meanwhile a new analysis by the National Center for Policy Analysis (not among Al's links) contends that the science behind Gore's film is "fatally flawed."

Anti-War "Ranger" Editing History

Jessie Macbeth (the “former Army Ranger” who alleged horrific crimes by the US military) has removed the bogus awards from his Military.com profile.

A little too late, because Allahpundit got screenshots.

UPDATE at 5/22/06 10:02:14 pm:

And now the videos of Jessie Macbeth that were posted at YouTube have been removedlink: 230 comments  "This kind of bogus shit of posting fake kudos while you stab your fellow troops in the back is a total insult to the men and women who earn the real thing with blood, sweat, toil, and tears (to steal a phrase), yet who almost NEVER blow their own horns and who just say "hey, man, I was just doing my job;" whose main focus is staying with their squads to see that they all come back alive."

Facts are easy to check now, and memories are longer.

This has been fun to watch today. It's amazing what the informed eye can see in his glamor shot and TOTALLY and COMPLETELY discredit him without even getting to his alleged story. It's obvious the blogosphere has prevailed, the film producers are backing off, Jesse is changing his Mil.com profile, and the progressives are still crying fake but accurate.
