There is no end to the number of ads that can be produced showing this style of quick editing to create Kerry vs Kerry spots.
Let the sprint to the finish begin!!!!!

From the descriptions here, we've been seeing this for days here in Oregon.

5by5, post that as a suggestion on the Swiftees web forum, that is a great idea!

There's no way this is going to move votes.
Money on this ad is money down the drain.
Viewers not already familiar with the event and issue involved will just be left confused. They'll shrug and say, "whatever". Negative ads that aren't effective like this BACKFIRE. If you throw mud you must hit effectively or people think you are just smearing.
They should show the one with lots of sincere testimonials, including the guy who treated Kerry for his first purple heart. THAT is convincing, that reaches people, this does not.

It makes my head hurt.
God bless you Swifties.

If it's the one showing kerry throwing his medals(or whatever) over the WH fence, it's been airing here in Missouri for several days.

While I'm extremely grateful for the belly laugh, I don't think this add will do any further damage. Most likely it just reaffirms the distrust people have for him and continues to refresh people's minds on Kerry's constant flip flops.Yeah, that's my feeling too. The Swifties have done their damage. From here on out their job is mainly one of maintenance, to keep people from forgetting.
On the other hand, I read that they were saving up some new information for closer to the election. Maybe they have a grand finale planned.

Good grief. Six or so years of seeing that screen name, and I never made the connection. D'oh!!!Then I guess I can presume your real name isn't "pooc".

Statement by Former Senator Bob Dole
Fri Sep 17, 2004 00:39:35 (ET)
ARLINGTON, VA -- Former Senator Bob Dole issued the following statement:
"As Chairman of the Bush-Cheney Veterans Coalition, and as a veteran, I call on John Kerry to demand that MoveOn.org take down their ad depicting a defeated American soldier.
It's one thing to debate whether we should take the fight to the terrorists, but depicting an American soldier in effect surrendering in the battle against the terrorists is beyond the pale.
I cannot believe that John Kerry, who reminds us daily of his Vietnam service, would possibly approve the disgusting and demoralizing portrayal of American soldiers fighting for us in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world.

This is a more comprehensive look at the same issue. Two ads were done about this, "Medals" and "Dazed", but I hope you are seeing both.

Will someone please post a brief synopsis?Ad cuts between Kerry circa 1971 saying he threw away his medals, "the medals themselves" and Kerry from a few months ago saying they "threw away the symbols, not the medals themselves".
Back and forth it goes a few times to make it clear he was lying then or lying now; underscores he'd been throwing away these things, and asks at the end how you can trust him.
