I have never seen a group of people more incapable of thinking for themselves than teachers. They believe everything the KEA says hook, line, and sinker without making any effort to do their own research. They are protesting the wrong person. The Democrats stalled the budget (not even allowing a vote!) and also passed the law that ran all of the insurance companies out of Kentucky and limited competition and choices. But the KEA just keeps endorsing the same people and the teachers fall for it every time! These are the people teaching our children?

"The Kentucky Education Association Web site says that in one scenario, an employee who has paid $10 for lab services costing $300 will have to pay $60 for the same services next year and would see deductibles for an office visit that cost $100 double from $10 to 20percent of the cost, or $20."

I understand the concern of rising health care costs, but remember this is a benefit from the state employer. I'm sure the KEA cries about those "43 million" uninsured as well. The fact remains that paying $60 on a $300 lab bill costs someone somewhere...nothing is for free, unless it's Kerry's socialist utopia.
