Left Will Try to Impeach Bush on Abu Ghraib September 16, 2004
Listen to Rush
(
predict what the left will do if Bush wins re-election) BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
I want you to keep an eye on this, folks. I have been warning you. Many people have been asking me, "What's the left going to do when they lose the election?" And I know many of you think, well, they're going to realize they've been screwing up and change their ways and we'll have less partisanship and blah, blah. (Laughing). My friends,

That is, I think, exactly the point Rush is making here. And, don't be suprised if this isn't tried by these whackos.

Last time I looked, the Republican majority was powerless to do squat. I can just picture the Dems going into more filibusters until the congressional Republicans cave in as they have on loads of things these past two years. Only there is no filibuster in the house...it is only in the Senate..as long as the GOP holds the house..there will be no impeachment..the whole thing is silly...
To: Stonedog
At a minimum, they will seek to indict Rumsfeld.

What a nice bunch of f***in' heroes, eh?
I don't fist-fight. I don't know how. The only moves I do know, I learned in the Marines--and employing them would be classified as "attempted murder," or "assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm."
If that were my daughter, I'd use those moves.

No way a GOP house is going to bring impeachment charges against Bush. And certainly 2/3 of the Senate will not go along. Out of the question. With the RATs, it is not a matter of ethics or outcome. The only thing that matters to the scum is the dog and pony show.

They will at least file articles of impeachment. Let's see, they've got abu grahaib, Texas redristricting, hurricanes in Florida, picking on Dan Rather....There's lots of charges they could make.

I've been hearing this "We Must Impeach Bush" garbage since the day after the 2000 election. It's no surprise and it would be no surprise to me if they did try it. They are that unhinged.
But that is not what worries me. What worries me is that they are SO unhinged that some will resort to the Mohammed-Malvo example of political protest. I believe that there is a small but fanatic cabal of Neo-hippies reading up on the Weather Underground right now.
OK, now who is holding my tin foil hat?
NO BLOOD FOR KETCHUP!

Well lets see he predicted 4 years ago that Colin Powell would be W's choice for VP
Also said Hillary would quit her Senate run.

I know they like street theater, and it would make their nutcase base happy, but politically I think it would be disastrous.

I had heard of this, but didn't realize that the AP would actually put a photo up.
Love-filled liberals, eh?
Look at the screaming hatred on those faces in the blue Kerry T-shirts.
GOP ought to put THIS on the next ad.

You have a point, SJ. The charges may be made up, but the "thrust" of them will have to be answered. And I'm sure Rather would give such an action the most balanced coverage.

C'mon. Many, many Democrats have guns. They live in the South and West and wholeheartedly support President Bush. We need these Democrat votes. Independents in the Bush states have guns too.
But most of these people just need to take a trip to the courthouse to change their party identification.
The powers that be in the Democratic Party are insofar as I can tell irrational to insane. They generally don't have guns, except the "organized crime" wing of the party. That wing runs such major eastern cities as Washington, DC, home of Mayor Marion Barry, convicted crackpot. The organized crime wing of the party is not subject to the law, including weapons laws.

I'm seriously concerned about leftists rioting after the election. I think they're insane enough.

Ever since Nixon there is always talk from the fringe (in either party) of impeachment. I am sure that will be the case after the election. I'm also sure the effort will go nowhere.
To: Stonedog
I believe it. I have to drive by these idiots near my home all week long. Old men with signs that say "Impeach Bush".
Someone give me a good idea for when I drive that way again. They are always there.

They will be disappointed when their candidate loses, but they are likely to be shocked at the degree to which they have lost as well.
If Nixon was alive, you could ask him how the media got even last time this happened. If Bush wins again, epecially if it's a clear, no doubt about it win, look for the media to do everything in their power to bring him down like they did Nixon.

I'm seriously concerned about leftists rioting after the election.Or before. NPR had a frightening thing on last weekend. It was the left enmasse screaming and yelling. I told my husband then that there was going to be violence soon. They sounded like a third world country.
