Just watched the account on PBS news of the Kerry Guard convention speech. They juxtaposed about 3 minutes of Bush's speech a couple of days ago with 3 minutes of Kerry's speech today. Although they made no verbal comment, the difference was so devastating for Kerry that I am amazed they showed it! (Bush was recieved warmly, smiling faces, appropriate applause, etc.) Kerry on the other hand delivered his defeatist screed to stonefaced silence. The camera panned at times to a few listeners walking out, a few boo's and NOT A SINGLE CLAP BY ANYONE IN THE CROWD! Kerry paused as if waiting for applause a few times, but NOTHING! I was dumfounded that they showed this on PBS!
Did anyone get another view?

I made sure I watched from the beginning.
He got a HUGE reception: cheers, loud applause, whistles!
And when the guy introducted him as having served in TANG, he got ANOTHER HUGE round of cheers.
Let's see what Kerry's was really like.
Yes, you should keep going. And everybody else needs to keep going, too, until the uneducated know what a danger that man is to America.

I get the feeling he could have said, Hi, howareya, and it would have been an applause line. Affection vs. disgust.
Back to his Vietnam bashing days again I see ! Leopard didn't change his stripes.
I want to see what happened when he was annouced; the networks didn't show that part, heh!

Fox's Campaign Carl did a piece on this, and he pointed out the same thing. Lots of icy clares at Kerry during the speech. I wonder how the networks (NBC/ABC, not CBS) handled this?

He seems to be under the impression that the military folks just think he is the best thing since sliced spam.
