Darnell began using crystal meth in casual sexual encounters and began searching the Internet for sexual liaisons. References on the Internet to "PNP" parties (shorthand for "party and play" - meaning sex and drugs) helps drug-addicted gay men find sex parties. Darnell was eventually hospitalized for his growing addicytion but later stopped using the drug.
The use of crystal meth to enhance sexual experiences has spread rapidly among gay parties---especially during the past three to four years.
A March, 2004 edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution provides more details on the spread of crystal methamphetamine use among gays. The drug has increased HIV-infection among homosexual men.

I've been accused of having done drugs, but I was always the 'odd man out'.
I was always the sober guy standing somewhere suggesting to the guys tripping daisies on acid that their arms melted off..
Or worse.
I feel guilty over it NOW, but at the time it was hysterical.
I was always told how they admired and envied me for being straight laced.

If tehy'd seen how they looked and acted rom my point of view, they'd have understood why it was so easy to stay sober and not be tempted to try it.
It's a very big problem here in rural Oklahoma. Several months ago we had an Oklahoma trooper shot when he went to check out a car that had been parked on the side of the road for a little while. Turns out the car was a rolling meth lab and belonged to a former Duncan, Ok fireman.
A couple of weeks ago we were listening to the police scanner and heard one of the policemen call in saying he smelled a strong chemical smell near a house in town. They busted the house the next day. Our town has a population of 5,000. Meth is the biggest problem we face here.
Oklahoma rececently passed a law where all allergy medication that contains (I think this is the name of the stuff) ephedrine in tablet form has to be behind the pharmacy counter and has to be signed for. I read recently where along the shared border of Texas there had been a large number of people crossing over to purchase these tablets.
There's a bar to the east of town you wouldn't catch me dead in since the clientele there are mostly meth users.

Agreed. I regret many of the choices I made early in life. Can't even remember what the appeal was. I have no reason to be alive now other than some others cared for me more than I did!

Had a set, and used them on one of the acid droppers.

While I'm glad to see anybody getting help with controlled substances such as crank, it would be far better for the above homosexual site to have links to sites where homosexuals can get help in leaving the homosexual lifestyle.

Actually, finding the happiness within would solve or ameliorate a lot of the world's problems. Of course, it often involves something the left loathes and hates (God), therefore they only like solutions which require lots and lots of outside intervention, and our tax money.
Also, one needs to take personal responsibility for one's own mistakes, and use some introspection in that regard; another thing they hate. Much easier to point fingers at everyone else and be a victim.
Thank you for asking and not just jumping on me:) No, I'm not implying that those men were indicative of anything but a meth problem that has been going on for a long time. Of course when the murder took place it was portrayed that they were indicative of rural America's predisposition to violence against gays. It's my opinion that drug abuse had more to do with their actions than their address.

I only had that fortunate experience when the doctors biopsied my tumor. (Today's tests, on the other hand, sucked rocks. Ugh...)
