EMAIL OF THE DAY: "Overall, I have many of the same lamentations about Big-Government-Bush as you, and as my views are generally libertarian I find much of the social conservatism distasteful as well. But while I was struggling with how to approach this election for those reasons, I must say that this unspeakably disgusting behavior by CBS has now made my decision easy. I always thought the clear liberal bias at CBS (and others) was just a natural consequence of the way the liberal journalists dominating MSM see the world rather than a concerted effort to push a liberal agenda (the fish dont feel the water theory, as others have put it). I now see how wrong I was. If CBS is willing to not only shred even the pretense of journalistic ethics, but to actually conspire to commit fraud (as I think the evidence of ignoring experts and standing behind such obvious forgeries shows) in a desperate attempt to throw a presidential election and install their candidate, then I must do everything I can to oppose them. This means becoming an active supporter of President Bush. I would never have imagined that would happen, but all I can say is thanks, CBS, for exposing yourself and clearing things up." More feedback on the Letters Page. By the way, I'm on Paula Zahn at 8pm wit Howie Kurtz discussing Rathergate. - 6:38:47 PM
liberal or libertarian?
pingaling
self describing moderate?
any switch to the right is a good sign
"timing is suspicious but hoorah if true" BUMP
In their oh so desperate bid to smear Bush (AGAIN!!) it has backfired and now the other liberals are shifting to the one who is the target of the smear.
And so it seems that God is turning around every evil thing plotted against Bush into his good!!
Too bad the Rats have succeeded in keeping Nader off the ballot in many states.
You go bouncyday
There is literally NOTHING that anyone could do to affect the true liberals. But this scandal is leaving a bad taste in the mouths of those whose support for Kerry is tepid and they will either stay at home or hold their nose and vote Bush. What ever they do, a great many will not be voting for Kerry.
NO FAIR! Dan Rather wanted to be the one to break that news!
I don't remember the details, but wasn't there another fraud fiasco concerning a major network and fabricating safety features in a certain car model? I think this happened about ten years ago?
Getting scales to fall off of peoples eyes won't necessarily lead them all to move more to the right, but it gives the right a fighting chance to debate the big stuff on it's merits. It is the only thing that will heal the rift growing ever wider as time passes. I think there was a time when even the left wanted us to act in our nation's interest, disagreement doesn't go beyond the water's edge & all that.
So this person was on Pauls Zahn last night?
Wasn't it concerning cars?
