MORE RE: MRS. KNOX [Jed Babbin] Just spoke to another one of Dubya's squadron mates from the 111th. (I don't know how to do superscripts on e-mail). He passed on the Question of the Day for Mrs. Knox: You said that Mr. Bush got into the National Guard on the basis of preferential treatment "...because there were a lot of other boys in there the same way." Does that include your son, Ted, who joined the squadron in about 1972? Posted at 01:47 PM

This CBS story has become a soap opera. Every day I log in to Free Republic, more sensasional details are revealed. Sometimes all I have to do is just refresh and the story changes dramatically.

Meantime, Kerry's getting no press time. Is he still running for President?

I don't care if this is true or not. But because I want it to be true then it is true......right Dan?

No, he was ordered by President Bush to go on an illegal secret CIA mission into Iran. How ironic.

It should be very easy to verify if she was Killian's secretary, or just a pool typist. If it's the latter, she has absolutely zero credibility.

Doesn't Kerry do better in the polls when he isn't in the spotlight??? Hmmmmm.

I assume there is an aspiring screen writer that is just doing CUT-AND-PASTE from the Free Republic. It is too funny for words!

Most people who could found alternate ways of serving their country rather than going to VN. I've met lots of people through the years who are lawyers or other professionals today because they went to graduate or professional school rather than VN. As I've gotten older, it's made me more respectful and beholden to those who went. But I don't excoriate those who don't. I'm sure there's lots of people like me who just do not see this issue as a significant one.

Even if this Knox lady had no family, no friends, no record of criminal acts, no, well nothing, I still wouldn't believe her account of Bush back then. Why? Because the family of Killian has said that they believed their husband and father liked and admired Bush back in the guard. That's a statement of record.

So we have on one hand, a secretary saying one thing about someone, and that someone's family saying another thing. Which, minus any other mitigating factors, would anyone reasonably believe KNEW this person (Killian) better? His secretary, or his own family?

I think it's rather obvious who's opinion a rational person would assign more weight.

Doesn't Kerry do better in the polls when he isn't in the spotlight??? Hmmmmm.

In a bizarre way, the CBS attack on Bush has backfired big time, because swing voters are being reminded of Kerry's flipflops [on Vietnam and anything else] while they don't believe a word of the hit pieces on Bush.

Kamikaze Kerry Rides Along With Loser Dan

Worried Dems say it shows lack of discipline, lack of strategy, lack of message and freelancing — just what a slipping campaign can't afford. "It's stupid, it's stupid, it's stupid. Get off the National Guard and all that bull. Every day we talk about the National Guard and Vietnam is another day that George Bush wins. No one cares about 30 years ago," a top Dem says.

Another tells of a focus group of swing voters this week where no one even mentioned Rather's Guard flap but an unnerving number "parroted back" attacks on Kerry as a flip-flopper who lied about his Vietnam service. "The Kerry people think they didn't attack Bush hard enough. They're dead wrong. More attacks on Bush aren't a reason to vote for Kerry," this strategist says.

I read somewhere that mud sticks to a mudwall but not to polished marble. The media hacks are becoming perplexed; they don't understand why their 24/7 attacks on Bush are backfiring.

She actually sounds like she might have just been a helluva gossip.

I don't remember office gossip from 30 years ago. Knox sounds like she was heavily prepped by Blather & Co. and she was clearly being coached by Blather on camera.

I didn't see the interview with the old lady. I heard part of the leading questions on Laura Ingrahams show.

What I want to know from any body that held a barf bag while they were watching it:

COULD YOU ACTUALLY SEE DAN'S HAND UP HER BUTT WORKING HER MOUTH.

Now, this next question is even more important....Can you verify the information in these fake documents is correct? Well, I couldn't last week but I sure can now. I remember like it was yesterday. Actually, I'm not quite sure what yesterday was. What day is today? Where am I? Aren't you that so-and-so who stole my loaf of rye? Of course I remember, all that there fake information is true, and I should know, 'cause I'm wearing 'em and I just did. OOPS! I CRAPPED MY PANTS!

Yes, how deep is this research/story?

I tell you what, they are digging themselves a deeper hole. Does Drudge know about this? This could be another zinger.

Take the beam out yer own eye. :)
