I just heard a report on the local talk radio show here in Rhode Island that Ted Kennedy slated campaign speech for John F-ing Kerry in Pennsylvania today was cancelled.
As it turns out, the town they had him stumping in was Mary Jo Kopechne's hometown and there was a considerable backlash. Another great move by the Kerry Campaign.
To refresh your memory, Mary Jo Kopechne is the young woman that Ted murdered years ago when he crashed his car in Martha's Vineyard. I say murdered because she didn't drown, she suffocated in the submerged car while waiting to be rescued. Ted walked away and didn't report it to the police until his friends made him the next morning, leaving her to die.
I know Rush, Sean Hannity and Howie Carr are lurkers. Let's hope they see this.

I did find out online that she was indeed from Larksville
(Luzerne County), Pennsylvania. That's for sure.

He drove of the bridge and then left her there to die. Apparently, there was an air pocket and she could have been alive as long as an hour. If he had not swum across the channel and gone to bed she might have been pulled out alive. HE MURDERED HER!!!!!

He did not murder her!! I hate that fat commie as much as the next guy but there is no need to lie. With that said, he was negligent in her death.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but in PA, cases in which a DUI driver's accident results in death are typically prosecuted as vehicular homicide.
