No, they were going to use Burkett to say that when Bush was governor that Bush thugs came over and purged the files, and that he, Burkett, retrieved them from the wastebasket. Trouble is that the stuff he retrieved are fakes.

We need to gather evidence for possibly impeaching Miss Knoxs statements....she's given several interviews...everyone listen carefully.

Here's what I got so far.

1. She's contradicted herself. She originally said she had absolutely no recollection of Bush himself. Now she's full of anecdotes. Today's Houston Chronicle lists the contradiction:

"Last week, Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others." - http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/nation/2796630

2. Knox is a rabid Bush hater. She told the Drudge Report yesterday that he was "selected, not elected" just like the radical left.

3. Knox is a partisan Democrat. I just ran her name on the public voter registration database. She's voted in every Democrat primary since 1994 except for one year when she didn't vote. That's as far back as the list goes electronically.

4. Knox has directly contradicted Killian's son and wife, who both say that Killian did not keep files of that sort.

5. (Incidental) Knox is clearly very senile in the Rather interview and was being led all over the place by Dan to get her to say what he wanted her to say.

Yop got that right. The cBS TANG show the two books, this was all a liberal media setup to nail Bush.

When the docs were forged, it all went bad. Kitty's book became radioactive, and the abu grab book sank below the radar. No one would touch these books for fear that what was happening to cBS would happen to them.

To think about how the dims and the MSM had set up this play is really chilling.

The forgeries are now re-creations!

Why not? These are the same folks who wanted to "re-create" the 2000 census through "sampling" when the actual count didn't give the results they wanted; these are the same folks who "re-created" votes for Gore through hanging and pregnant chads; etc.

Folks, the way to handle this is to methodically deconstruct her story. We have the Killian family and Killian's boss all of whom disagree with her assertion that the allegations in the forged documents are true.

Let's concentrate on getting that story out.

Yes, she is, and she like her son has called this.. well BS. Rather conviently left her out because this lady said that the son couldn't know what his father thought. Guess they felt that saying that his wife couldn't know wouldn't be plausible.

If the documents are a re-creation the the signatures are, by definition, forgeries and a Federal crime.

A bigger point, imho, is the state of affairs in the ANG at that time. War winding down, no proper planes on which to train. No desks or offices to stash former pilots/desk jockeys. I've read W did them a favor by leaving for Alabama since they had no place to put him.

Really? I thought it was OK if you were ordered to burn down an enemy position and decided to disobey orders and then tell your superiors to bring in food and aid and try to sweet talk and bribe the Viet Cong into being nice.
