(Hey MSM. Get a clue, it's no longer "That's the way it was." It's now "That's the way it is!")

For those of you who are late arriving to this thread, let me summarize what we now know: 1) CBS hasn't yet determined which lie to use to cover their original lies. 2) Howlin is a she.3)Dan rather is still the biggest a-hole.

RE post 436: It took me almost 3 years to get 350 hours flying time in Strategic Air Command after flying school. Bush was a "weekend warrior". I flew long missions where Lt Bush flew short missions in the F102.

MICHAEL MEDVED READ THE STATEMENT TEN MINUTES AGO!!!It's from Heyward, and it says nothing, except that CBS still stands by the authenticity of the documents, but will try to answer the questions.

NPR
NPR, Stephanopoulos, DUers, and others seem to be trying to implicate Republicans in the creation of these documents, even though CBS says they got them from an "unimpeachable source," probably the mentally-unstable Burkett.
To: CommerceComet
Do you have unimpeachable proof of your #2 statement?
To: CommerceComet
#2.. What?!
WHa.. Where? How?

I hope they are marking our comments with post it notes on their monitors.

Local Washington DC CBS affiliate just showed an excerpt of Rather speaking. Local reperter ended the story with something like, "If the story proves to be false, Dan Rather wants to be the one to break the story."

"NPR wrapped up thursdays update with the statement 'questions are being raised about the how the blogger raised questions so soon after the broadcast'."
It's stunning how NPR and Susan Estrich and the rest seem to have never heard of something called TIME ZONES.
Instead, they're trying to float the idea that some of our FR finest just 'had to know' about the fraudlent documents (of course, leaving the impression that a FReeper was doing the evil bidding of the omnipotent Mr. Rove).

Statement by the President of CBS News, Andrew Heyward:
"We established to our satisfaction that the memos were accurate or we would not have put them on television. There was a great deal of coroborating [sic] evidence from people in a position to know. Having said that, given all the questions about them, we believe we should redouble our efforts to answer those questions, so that's what we are doing.
To: CommerceComet
Nice summary, but I thought everyone knew Howlin.
I give up waiting for the statement that will be a non-statement. I am going to mow the lawn.
Someone ping me if Rather resigns.

Only from the very thoughtful feedback of fellow freepers.

If they vetted the documents as well as they edited Mr. Heywood's statement, they are in real trouble!
