Take a second to read through the astonishing postings (link below) on Borders unions website. As you will see... the attached postings are primarily from really annoyed liberals, and a couple of them refer to ongoing tactics to keep UNFIT FROM COMMAND away from the public.
Here's one example:
"We're 'finding' that most of the few copies we're getting are damaged and need to be sent back, so sad. Too bad, Bushies! Regnery needs to be more careful. I'm hearing from people at 2 other stores that this seems to be common.
Why should we help destroy what's left of our country?"
or how 'bout this one...
"You can probably get Regnery's corporate number from Books in Print or off the web. I'd keep it handy and then whenever a customer asks for this book, tell them that Regnery isn't keeping this book stocked and it may be because Regnery is a pinko-commie-fag publisher who's trying to bury this story by not printing enough copies of this book. Tell them you even read on the web that Hillary Clinton is on Regnery's Board of Directors.
And, after all, you did just read on the web that she's on the Board and that it's pinko-commie-fag publisher so you wouldn't be lying. Well, maybe you shouldh't use "pinko-commie-fag." How about pacifist lesbian outfit? Not that there's anything wrong with that."
...or this one...
"You guys don't actually HAVE to sell the thing!
"Just 'carelessly' hide the boxes, 'accidentally' drop them off pallets, 'forget' to stock the ones you have, and then suggest a nice Al Franken or Micheal Moore book as a substitute. Borders wants those recommends, remember?
"I don't care if these Neandertals in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren't regular customers anyway. Other than 'Left Behind' books, they don't read. Anything you can do to make them feel unwelcome is only fair. They are the people pushing retailers to cut costs, don't forget. And they would censor your speech, your books, your music in a heartbeat, so give them a taste of it!
"Don't get mad, get even!"
Unbelievable!
More here.
The homepage is www.bordersunion.org
I registered at the borders site to post a cut and paste of another 1 post user saying basicly "thanks for letting me know to take my business elsewhere"
my account was just deleted
and they call us Nazis???????????
Cross post for reference:

I didn't even register. I was just reading. I guess they closed the board, and deleted all new accounts.
I guess that just means we will have to reregister when it comes back up then?
Way to go, FReepers!
Where is the ACLU when you need them?
I managed to save all the pages just seconds before the site was closed down. It may be that their hosting provider shut them down rather than the Borders union or webmaster.
All the folks coming in from here and Lucianne probably overloaded their server.
Hopw you took the time to save a screen shot because the "account is now suspended..."
What will the shareholders of this publicly-held and -traded company have to say?
"Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich., Borders Group, Inc., is a publicly held Fortune 500 company with annual sales of $3.7 billion. Our stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BGP."

What a crappy picture of Kerry on the cover. LOL!
Anyone archive that page?
They also express glee in how they try to make customers whom they perceive to be conservatives feel unwelcome in Borders.
Perhaps this explains the uncomfortable experience I had shortly after the book was published and I walked to the Borders at 100 Broadway in lower Manhattan. I looked and looked for it, then politely went to the Information Desk, where I was informed that the last copies had just been sold 10 minutes earlier -- despite the fact that there were no empty spaces on any of the bookshelves where it should have been. I was a little suspicious when the two employees behind the desk were snickering. Thus, I bought my copy elsewhere.
Perhaps Regnery would be interested in finding out why so many books may be coming back to them from Borders as damaged. According to a Borders employee who goes by the screen name of "takahashi":
We're "finding" that most of the few copies we're getting are damaged and need to be sent back, so sad. Too bad, Bushies! Regnery needs to be more careful. I'm hearing from people at 2 other stores that this seems to be common. Why should we help destroy what's left of our country?
and:
Just "carelessly" hide the boxes, "accidentally" drop them off pallets, "forget" to stock the ones you have, and then suggest a nice Al Franken or Micheal Moore book as a substitute. Borders wants those recommends, remember?
And, according to "takahashi," I am not welcome in your stores:
I don't care if these Neandertals in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren't regular customers anyway. Other than "Left Behind" books, they don't read. Anything you can do to make them feel unwelcome is only fair. They are the people pushing retailers to cut costs, don't forget. And they would censor your speech, your books, your music in a heartbeat, so give them a taste of it!
Same for "Aarontrz":
I want to get just one copy so I can tear it to shreds in front of one of these old grumpy men bent on conpiracy theory. I wish they really knew how little respect I have for them, even though they spent so long in the morning dressing the part of the right-wing a-hole just for that trip to Borders.
Given the extremely low opinion more than a few of your employees have for me -- merely because of my political beliefs -- I'll just take my "right-wing a-hole" money and get on the subway to go elsewhere, where the employees aren't so overt in their contempt for customers.
Although I live a few blocks from the Borders at 100 Broadway, I will not spend another cent there until there is some sort of public apology made and some of the conspiring employees are held up as examples and disciplined.
Just over three years ago, I watched in horror as the Borders at the World Trade Center was engulfed in flames and I was thrilled beyond words when you opened a new store nearby last year. I wanted to support the store and made many purchases there in the last year, but no more -- not until I can be confident that I won't be made to feel unwelcome and mocked by your employees.
Sincerely,
(NYC GOP Chick)
From now on, I'll just walk up to Broadway (a few blocks north of Borders) and take the subway to the Barnes & Noble in the East Village (!) -- at least they carried Unfit for Command weeks ago.
Apparently not ALL of them ... I have five pages saved...
(Although most of the last two pages were posts by "freepers" and "L.commers" :-)
If anyone needs all five pages, let me know.... It was only about 30 seconds before they closed the board down when I saved the last page, so I probably have the thing in its entirety.
For some reason, I wasn't able to save the 2nd page, but I have the others.
Do you have a place to host them, for posterity?
