Has there been any further progress on this, or did the Dems bury it (as usual)? I remember something about the Sergeant at Arms investigating, but have heard nothing recently.
Wait what if the CBS memos are the ones that Sandy Berger was hiding in his pants... He went to the archives to gather information about 9/11 and forged these documents about the president....
are you talking about Sandy "G-String" "BVD" Berger?
Swept under the rug.
Sandy Burgler...
Yeah, he had the runs and crapped on the documents, so he reproduced them on his computer. Yeah, thats the ticket.
IS SANDY BERGER IN JAIL YET?
No, I was referring ot the even earlier flap, where a Republican senate aide in the Senate Intelligence (oxymoron, I know) Committee discovered internal Democrat memos discussing politicizing intelligence information in an effort to discredit or otherwise harm the administration of President Bush. The Dems tried to call "foul" because the aide "shouldn't have been reading the memos, since they were confidential", although they were found on a public area of the server they were stored on. By yelling about confidentiality, the Dems obviously hoped to distract from the far more damaging content of said memos.
Who knows? The Dims, with the help of the lame stream media are always successful at burying stuff like this. I don't understand why the BC/04 people allowed the Sandy Berger thing or the Senate Intelligence thing ride off into the sunset.
Ahhh, you mean the original "memogate". When I saw everyone referring to "Rathergate" as memogate, I knew it would lead to some confusion. Now when you do a search, all the CBS stuff is coming up, instead of the judicial nominees memogate issue. I read an article yesterday that Manuel Miranda is suing the federal government. I'll try and find the article/link and post.
Move on... let it go... no story here. ;-D
Ah, excellent. Well, let's, as noted on that other post, keep this off the back burner. This whole thing probably ties together at some level anyway (Judiciary Memos, SSCI collusion, Sandy Berg(l)er, and the CBS Memos). I haven't figured the link (yet) for the CBS thing (I think more of the players need to come to light first), but I can certainly see the Judicial Memos, the SSCI issue, and the 9/11 Commission corruption as being linked in a wider effort to push the Republican party out of power.
don't know what I did wrong...

Interesting. I've never made the connection before.
Spineless Republicans let the Democrats and the press turn the original memogate into an investigation of the whistleblower. But nothing ever happened after that.

One could describe it protecting their own SELF interests. Interesting who the Chairmen of most of the committees are.
