... venerable 60 Minutes news magazine...***
Gosh, I wonder if the Houston Chronicle is LIBERALLY biased.
True, 60 Minutes is old (I don't know how old 60 Minutes II is) but it doesn't have dignity and has lost almost everyone's respect.

Has anyone else noticed that her story keeps getting better and better the more times she tells it?
The embellishment and her memory get more vivid with each telling.
She and Kerry ought to write a book together.

"wonder what changed her story?"Probably free meds for life, courtesy of the DNC. Most elderly folks would sell their souls for free perscription drugs on the taxpayers dime.

and you're certainly taking the high road giving her the benefit of the doubt.
I'm merely accepting the word of Killian's son that he remembers her as a nice old lady. Given this, and the fact that we are talking about the press here, I am inclined to imagine an interview between a reporter and a nice old lady. A good reporter can get a nice old lady to say anything he wants if he talks to her long enough.

when the only remaining advocate of the forged documents is a partisan 86 year old retired secretary for the TANG, it tells you just about everything you need to know about the state of the dems smear campaign.

Sounds like she's no fan of President Bush's
But not willing to get in trouble for lying about the documents

But in this Houston Chronicle article (and _not_ in the NYT), it asserts she had 'no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time' in the TANG.
Is there any way to cache this page, just in case it suddenly disappears.

I recommend 'Furl', something I heard about from another freeper. www.furl.net. Seems to work passably well...I just saved a copy of each.
To: jrpascucci
thanks jrpascucci.
I hope Kerry gets hit with his first purple heart soon. Kerry claims to the Officer in Charge of the mission, and that there was hostile fire. Whenever there is hostile fire, the Officer in Charge must write up an after-action report. So where is this report?
No report = No hostile fire = Bogus 1st Purple Heart.

I think we need to be careful not to say anything negative about the old hag.

Marian Carr Knox, 86, former secretary to Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, worked at the Houston air base from 1956 to 1979. She is now retired. Unclear from this whether she was secretary to Killian the whole time she was there. Seems unlikely if she now claims no first-hand knowledge of Bush's service.

Killian's son said in another article that she was not Killians's exclusive secretary, but a typist assigned to the unit.

I'm curious ... aside from the fact this women states she didn't type the memo, therefore to her they're in all probability fake ... can she verify the address? PO Box 34567 for the Texas ANG unit address ... that has to be bogus.

-Chronicle did not run her story last week Do you have any idea why the Chronicle didn't run her story last week? Do you think they concluded she was a nice old lady, but unreliable?
