Exactly. Bush's birthday is July 6th. The phony memos re the physical pre-dated this by a period of months.
Okay, two things:
Sounds to me like Ms. Knox was paid off...but not at a high enough sum.

Thank you for that admission, Ms. Knox. Now please refrain from acting like you even know what the hell Bush did or didn't do in his ANG service. Thank you.
I just heard it Brit mention the sec. to Killian! She said the docs are forgeries, BUT that it was known around there that W was not very well liked or something like that and what was on the memos were the feelings of some of them there ...HERE WE GO FOLKS, FUEL FOR THE RATS! :(

If CBS had contacted her before it ran the story, and shown her the memos, she could have saved them a lot of embarrassment. They could have deep-sixed the memos and just gone on her word that Bush had missed a physical and that Killian thought Staudt was pressuring him. Dan Rather would have his hit piece on Bush and there would be no "forgery" fol-der-al to distract from the issue and destroy Rather's credibility.
The more I think about this, the more it has to be Bill Burkett guy behind this.
Burkett was a member of the Texas Army National Guard and Knox claims that the memos used "army lingo."
We know Burkett hates Bush and has an axe to grind.
This has the makings of a carefully concocted set up.
They made these documents so that their veracity would be challenged and now they can trot out their real source... Mrs. Knox.
It is interesting to see how CBS/Dems will try to spin her story. I know there is some confusion at the DU. Some are saying she really did type them, but forgot due to old age.
On the other hand, some are trying to spin this as being abour what Killian really thought...
but what we're left with is hearsay about what Killian really thought from a Bush-hating secretary, which is refuted by Killian's own family.
Yeah, and she's been silent all this time about Bush - even waited five days before coming forward with the information that, while the memos cBS has were forgeries, she typed "memos similar" -- really? Then they must exist somewhere, dont they? Why aren't THOSE originals being produced, then, instead of hacked up computer frauds?
I'm also amazed that she can remember a memo's contents with such clarity after having typed it some 30 years ago. I type some pretty nasty stuff, working for lawyers, and I couldn't remember the "general gist" of something I typed 10 years ago. But that's just me -- your mileage may vary...
Her word is garbage and should be totally discounted.
She is contradicting herself the more she speaks when she states G.W. treated her well but then states he wasn't liked, she validates there was forgery committed, and she is leveling charges without evidence.
As I said before, let the Dems use her as a star witness. I'm not particularly afraid of them.
They have simply found a doofas way of saying they forged the memoes, but the information is real...which is another lie piled on top of all the others.
The Colonel would not have had his secretary type such a CYA memo...just like the son says. But beyond that, the Colonel did not have a need to type such a memo, and never did.
It is pathetic to watch these liars weave their web of lies and get entangled in them.
I can't remember one darned thing that I typed 32 years ago.
It just shows that Democrats will lie through their teeth to defeat Bush. She admits their forgeries, but says they are accurate. No proof. No evidence. Just more lies.
