Dickie (Toe Sucker) Morris on Hannity: We're Looking at a 70-80 Electoral Vote Win by Bush
Sean Hannity Show ^ | 9/14/04 | LS

Posted on 09/14/2004 2:35:42 PM PDT by LS

Dickie Morris, on Hannity, said:

1) Kerry is stuck in Vietnam because he can't talk about anything else.

2) He brought in all the Clinton people but, as if to anticipate a "see: this means Hillary is going to come in," he said, that "none of these people were there when Clinton had to get re-elected in 1996." They are all people who "play well to the base, but do nothing for crossover voters." In short, Kerry is still trying to shore up his base.

3) Kerry has HUGE problems with the base, because no matter what position he takes on anything he alienates half his base. If he says pull out of Iraq, he offends about 30%; if he says stay, he offends about 70%.

4) Hannity ran down a list of states and where the election stands. This was a surprise. Morris said the hurricane plays to Bush and Gov. Bush, and that Ohio looks safe. MO=Kerry (surprising, to me and Hannity); Minnesota=Bush (trending GOP); WI and MI=Kerry, despite the polls in WI; NJ "very close."

Morris said if WI goes Bush we're looking at a blowout. He said his guess was this would be a 70-80 electoral-vote win for Bush.

While I have noticed the Kerry-Edwards rallies seem to have a lot of anesthetized people at them while the Bush-Cheney rallies seem to have more animated attendees, let's not make the mistake of projecting the intensity at one or two rallies into a victory at the polls.

I believe the key to this election will be in the turn out of the Army of Genghis Kahn (of which I am, according to the Manchurian Candidate, a member). I have been waiting for more than three decades to vent my anger at John Forbes Kerry, the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (and For Communism), the Students for a Democratic Society (as in the Democratic People's Republic of Vietnam), and the S.W.I.N.E. (Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything) from the 1960s. I hope my Band of Brothers will turn out to toss the Fraud and the Ambulance Chaser aside.

I'm with you -- if Morris isn't worried it's time to panic!

I would be happy even with a 1 EC win.

Agreed...

But, I fear a squeaker..because the Socialist's will litigate it. On that you can bet your bottom dollar...

And simultaneously they and the Marxist MSM will whip up the anarchist sheeple...and I fear violence will result.

IMO...we really need to see a blow-out.

We shall see...and hope that my gut is wrong.

FWIW-

I usually agree w/Morris but I too was surprised to hear his opinion on MO since Gallup has Bush up by 14pts.

I disagree with the toe-sucker's hurricane analysis. If this thing his New Orleans and gasoline heads to $3.00 per gallon, its gonna put a crimp in the economy. I'm sure that's what the democrats hope.

Morris is thinking in Sept 14 time.

After the debates, it's a whole new ballgame.

All Bush has to do is make Kerry whimper and we're talking historical landslide.

Wisc and Mizzou will go BUSH...I think Dickie was using the line if "Wisc" goes Bush then it will be a landslide. He played it. He knows Wisc is going Bush and doesn't want to come out yet SCREAMING "Hey Sean, it's going to be a LANDSLIDE!"

Besides if it is already shaping that way why would we need Dickie on TV anymore!

LETS GO MIZZOU! CHEESEHEADS UNITE! That damn Kerry called your football pasture "LAMBERT FIELD!"

Morris blew me out of my seat when he said Missouri would go for Bush. Based on what? Bush will probably win by a bigger margin, especially since there is no Mel Carnahan (well, no Carnahan at all on the ballot) to increase Democrat turnout.

MO is absolutely Bush country. I would bet money on this, and I'm not the betting kind. We had the marriage amendment vote and the base was out in force. They have had it. Kerry will not win here no matter how many dead they bring out in KC and St. Louis City.

As a former Iowan, I'm still holding out hope for a long-shot win in Iowa. Remember the "Duel in Davenport"? That's where I matriculate from and the crowd was as energized as anything I have seen. The Quad City area was a very narrow win for Gore in 2000, less than 5,000 votes in an area holding a quarter of a million. I think Harkin may hurt Kerry in Iowa if any more comes from this "forgery" business.

Optimistic, yes, but it could happen.

I just don't trust Dick Morris -- I will always question his loyalty as an American. I don't care what party you belong to, you are an American first.

Morris did not put America first when he worked for Clinton.

I agree. My wife's grandparents are hardcore FDR democrats and they aren't likely to vote for Jenjis John. Also, I think that Blunt is going to do pretty well in the Governor's race. I am really hoping that Hanaway can pull it out for Sec. State. I think it is a shame to lose her from the legislature, though.

The only thing that can hurt the President between now and election day is his own campaign and, frankly, his people are way to competent at what they do to make that mistake!

Steady as she goes and this thing is over.

Actually there are two Karnahans on the ballot Russ and Robin. Russ is running for Gebhardt's seat and Robin is running for Sec of State.

He was predicting a Kerry blowout earlier this year, back when there was absolutely no data to support any predictions. Morris says one thing one day and the exact opposite the next. It makes me think of Gunderson from Airplane!:

"He's all over the place! 900 feet! Up to 1300 feet! What an a*****e!"
