Americans should realize that if they vote for President Bush's re-election, they are really voting for the architects of war Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and the rest of that cabal of neoconservative ideologues and their corporate backers.
I have sadly come to the conclusion that President Bush is merely a frontman, an empty suit, who is manipulated by the people in his administration. Bush has the most dangerously simplistic view of the world of any president in my memory.

He writes his articles in such nice short sentences Me too, but it is to avoid run on sentences and dangling participles.

Read some of his archived articles. Reese has always been against Bush, and this article is no different in tone than any of his others. Want to be a "good" conservative, according to Charley Reese? Vote for John Effin' Kerry. Yeah, boy. Either he's a conservative who's brain has been taken over by the DU, or he's gotten senile.

Reese probably found out Bush et al want to include illegals for Social Security benefits....at our expense of course.

Reese lost his mind years agoProbably about the time he stopped toeing the company line.

Sometimes I think many countries in the world act like spoiled rotten children. As long as they get their way and are able to run over everyone in their path they are happy. Until a strong parental figure (George Bush)looms into view. Then that person becomes the devil, when all they are really doing is holding the spoiled, rotten, little, brats accountable for their actions. I suppose one could include intellectually stunted liberals in that same category. We've seen it all before. For example: Parental question: How did the cat get in the microwave? (No offense intended to you cat lovers) Response: I don't know, I'm the only one here but I didn't see anyone do it, so the cat must have hit the Start button and then crawled in there by itself.
George Bush: How could you let this happen?
World Leaders Response:
I don't know how those mas graves got there.
I don't know nothing about WMDs, no one can ever proved we had them.
I don't know why or how we got all that money from Saddam.
So 14 of our people were involved with 9/11, we didn't tell them to fly planes into buildings.
If you give us a cease fire we promise to use it to move our forces to a more strategic location for an ambush.
In the style of Homer Simpson, It's time we had a President that has a hankerin for some spankerin. And come November 2nd the school term will be extended for another four years.

Well, you heard some BS then. He is a defender of the Palestinians big time and seems to hate Jews. Always takes the Paly's side. He is a senile, old, confused man.

I read the positive things here on FR and that's what got me wondering. Anyway, I'm glad a lot of the Freepers told me he's anti-Israel. That answers a lot for me.
To: Menehune56
Thanks to you and the others who explained Reese's anti-Israel sentiments. Truthfully, I never read any of his stuff but after my friend sent me the e-mail, I had to check up on it and saw some positive stuff on FR, I just wanted to get some more input. Thanks again. I love you Freepers!

I hear so many good things about Reese. What's up with this? There are a number of people who used to be widely read and respected on this forum, until they up and went completely insane after (or because of?) 9/11. Jude Wanniski and Harry Browne come to mind. Go ahead and add old Charley to the list.
To: Captain Kirk
The choice between Bushkerry is a non choice, no matter how Rush, Hannity, and Boortz, try to spin it as the "election of the century." You still around? I figured Jim would have bounced you outta here by now.

Because if his body is still with us, his mind isn't. He went south several years ago.

Exactly.
I USED to be a voracious reader of his columns and then one day, out of the blue, he starts knocking Israel about the pallies.
What the heck, I thought. He just lost a reader.

"Maybe if that moron carter thought as simplly we wouldn't be in as tight a situation as we are today."And maybe if sKerry didn't try so hard to sound smart, he wouldn't leave those who want to support him for any reason at all scratching their heads every time he opens his mouth.
