Well, folks, it's a done deal. Thanks to all who called, emailed or faxed the governator. I guess he thinks it's OK to use big ugly guns in the movies, but he doesn't want the peasants to have them.

Let's keep this in perspective, folks. This bill is one small piece of the gun-control issue, and gun control is just one issue among many, many important ones.

Any thoughtful comparison confirms that Schwarzenegger is, overall, far better than Gray Davis.

AB50 bans the 50 BMG rifle. But nobody needs one of those, anyway. They're no good for hunting.

I consider freedom to be a pretty big issue. And this is another assault on freedom and the Bill of Rights. That's my perspective.
