Did anybody just hear Keith Olberman talking about Buckhead???

I wasn't paying that much attention, but I could have sworn I heard him say that "Buckhead" was an attorney who had just been to a meeting with the Bush-Cheney group before the memos were shown on CBS!

I can't help but think that someone has got O'Reilly in their little hand and when they squeeze, he squeals. That, or his journalistic goal is to become as nuanced as is John Kerry. Either possibility is the picture of a worthless talking head batting his gums.

It is tempting to send O'Reilly a pithy email to point out that he has become a journalistic pith ant.

I assumed that he gleaned the lawyer info from BH's homepage.

I didn't see it that way at all. This bastard is PUSHING this hard, he was preforming intense, intimate foreplay on this story, hoping something explodes!

Let me get this straight..turns out the one who caught a flaw in a forged government document that was put up by CBS as a real document -- one that could tarnish a sitting president just weeks before he is seeking re-election -- is an active Republican, and that somehow legitimizes the forgery and makes CBS and Dan Rather less liable??? IOW, we have a blatant democrat lie, exposed by a Republican telling truth, and these should be treated with equal invalidation?

You know what I mean?? Somewhere there actually are Democrats that will disregard this evidence, this fact about the memos, because it was exposed by Republicans!

This is the essence of the corruption of the liberal left, and what is such a win/win for the democrats even when they get caught cheat/lying. ...that folks can't see truth when it is dusted off and set in front of them.

The conspiracy theory went like this:

• Forgeries were discovered on a right wing nut site
• Buckhead determined they were forged a mere 2 hours after the 60 minutes show
• Buckhead is a Republican lawyer from Atlanta
• Buckhead met with a group of other right wing nut lawyers to discuss helping the Bush Cheney campaign in Georgia in case of election fraud
• The White House passed on the CBS memos to all the rest of the press without commenting on their authenticity
• CBS's main source said he was set up and believed the documents to be forged less than 48 hours of the broadcast

Hence, Tin Foil Olberman smells more rats than a fill in any silly Dan Rather quote here, and this must have been a setup by Karl Rove and the vast rightwing conspiracy.

His guest, Craig Crawford (or something like that) from Congressional Quarterly, was not willing to go along with Olberman's delusions. That's about all I remember.

I sent O'Reilly an email lambasting him for saying that there is "rampant fraud among the Bush-haters AND the Kerry-haters." I asked him for evidence and told him he has none. I also mentioned that I was watching only to see if his head had grown any larger because I wanted to make sure I was viewing his program when it finally exploded. Then I made sure to let him know I had the sound muted for good measure. What a pompous jerk he is!
