Did anybody just hear Keith Olberman talking about Buckhead???

I wasn't paying that much attention, but I could have sworn I heard him say that "Buckhead" was an attorney who had just been to a meeting with the Bush-Cheney group before the memos were shown on CBS!

Bill is an idiot.

THE INTERNET IS THE ONE WHO BUSTED RATHER FOR THIS FRAUD!

Rather is now obviously covering his own butt.

Bill is taking up for his friend.

The internet pointed out forgery. How is that irresponsible?

Looks like Bill and the other Media elites are nervous about the accountability we can hold them to.

This is one of the dopiest arguments I've ever heard. First off, Buckhead wasn't the only person to think the docs are fake. Second, of course we support Bush on this site like the way the MSM supports Kerry; but unlike the MSM, we don't lie about our political preferences and pretend to be objective. Third, nobody at CBS has been able to prove that the docs are real. Fourth, even Olbermann concedes that the docs are fake, although he thinks they were created by the Republicans. Fifth, he should be asking Dan Rather why he's standing behind fake documents, instead of trying to figure out who Buckhead is.

EXACTLY.

THE MSM folks have hired experts who say the memos are forged. Olbermann is an idiot if he thinks he can claim this is just internet stuff...and think that people will buy it.

Define Active Republican. IF Olbermann is trying to imply something....Buckhead could own him!

As opposed to say, Inactive Democrat (the ones who vote in Cook County Il).

Whenever you have an Uberman question, just go to the Dummies site, as they worship his every word.
And in a side note, it was the DU men who surely voted Keith to victory in the sexiest newsman or whatever after filling out their ballets in their monthly subscriptions of Playgirl.

They sound pretty desparate to me. They want to link the docs back to Bush. So, let's assume Buckhead were an attorney who had met with the Bush/cheney campaign right before the CBS show. Let's assume he was told that the documents had been sent to the WH from CBS and they believe they are phony. Let's assume that Buckhead comes back here and brings it up.

Ok, So what? Even if we played right into it and started picking the docs apart and caused them to be proven fraud? So what? Truthfully, I would be delighted to know the campaign did not let this fraud go unchallenged. Yippee! :)

Thanks. So Bill O'Reilly wants us to listen without critical thinking in gear.

I'll disregard his complaint and continue to wear my thinking cap.

I think O'Reilly's problem is simple: Bill is p*ssed that HE didn't uncover the forgery.

You mean a poster on FreeRepublic might be partisan? Oh no!

This is hugh and series.

As if Buckhead would be the only one to notice the obvious forgery. These people are desperate.

Surely no one would be STUPID enough to forge these memos and in the process damage President Bush in an attempt to set up CBS? Crap like that backfires. Well, maybe a Dem is stupid enough...

And if it was a GOP plant, wouldn't you think Dan Rather would be the first to say it, rather than trying to insist that they are genuine?

I saw the Olbermann piece. He referred to Free Republic disparagingly as a "right-wing" website. He also seemed to dismiss Buckhead as a "conservative, Bush-supporting lawyer" from the Atlanta area. The implication was that because Buckhead is "conservative", his findings are irrelevant. Olbermann further hinted that Republican operatives could be behind this, planting bogus docs. What a pompous ass that twit is!

According to Olbermann, whatever info he mentioned about Buckhead was as a result of looking at Buckhead's past posts/homepage on FR.

Which I'm quite sure Olbermann didn't do himself, but got from David Brock at Media Matters. That site is notorious for tracking posts and posters here.
