Howlin started a Live Thread September 10, 2004 to see what Dan would say. He told us his report was the facts and nothing but the facts.
Well, it is now Monday, the 13th. What will Dan say today?
He didn't go to 'Bama, but his teeth did. I remmeber they released dental records that were produced at the base clinic there. Dubya just sent his teeth, the Dim-Bulbs say he wasn't there.
Burden of proof does not rest with the defendant.
It rests with the accusors - DNC/Kerry Campaing/CBS.
Dan says they called the white house and asked some direct questions based on the memos.
White House reply was that Bush was honorably discharged!
Bush isn't going to take on the debate...good news.
Yeah, and on the question of "burden of proof," she said that if the people clamored enough, the burden would shift from Bush's accusers to Bush, to prove he was in Alabama (even though the records say he was).
No. Burden of proof does not shift based on a public clamor.
Better yet, call your local CBS affiliates, too. They could give the net a real hotfoot.
He was just using the required format for all CBS stories.
A genuine Cock and Bull Story!
There was an interesting article in NRO today that suggested that, with the flight of conservatives from MSM, CBS's audience is so far left that to back down on the docs would destroy their credibility with the majority of those who actually do watch them.
Hence, they will not back down -- it is not in their best interests.
The best part of that was when Fred Barnes pointed out that the typewriter that Dannyboy claims would have existed back then would have cost...in today's dollars...the equal amount of 15000 to 20000 bucks.
I AM TELLING YOU. I GREW UP ON MILITARY BASES....
AND THEY AINT SPENDING THAT KIND OF PERCENTAGE DOLLAR ON A TYPEWRITER!
"CBS is helping Kerry politicize the Assualt weapons ban."
And Bill O'Reilly is helping Dan right now on the radio. O'Reilly just now practically swore that there's no way Rather would ever use forged documents on the air. He just testified to Dan being a good person basically. Says there's no way Rather hates Bush although he admits that Rather will probably vote for Kerry in November. Really, O'Reilly? Ya think? That's all I heard although I don't think he was finished. Just couldn't take it any longer so I pulled the plug on my radio.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! He sat there and continued to defend the mess with a straight face. Incredible!!! Does CBS think we don't watch any other channels? Do they think we ALL have Dan Rather's IQ?
It is over for CBS. Over. Rather is toast.
He got them from his daughter,I believe that 100% now. There's no way in the face of this whole thing falling apart, so-called "witnesses" saying that they weren't told the whole truth, Staudt having resigned 18 months earlier, the font, formatting, all the other evidence to the contrary, that he should stand by these fraudulent documents like this. He's covering for his daughter.
Oreilly is going insane
Yeah I might be able to make my car run on grape kool-aid as well.
Rather totally AVOIDED THE ISSUE OF STAUDT BEING RETIRED A YEAR AND A HALF BEFORE THE MEMO WAS WRITTEN ABOUT HIM.
HE AVOIDED THE FACT THAT HODGES...ONE OF THE SOURCES HE STILL WANTS TO NAME....SAYS THEY ARE FORGED NOW!
Holy Cow. Danny boy is just digging a deeper hole.
LOL. Doesn't surprise me. O'Reilly is arrogant and immune to facts, too.
Is this Bill Glennon dude the repairman that has been making rounds in the last couple days to tell people how possible it all was...and why do I have a mental image of a deranged Goofy?
See BS, hear BS, speak BS

Right. So much for the "expert". In fact, you'll notice in the memos that they are all superscript OR there is a space between the number and the "th"....just like to you to do in Word to keep from autpmatically superscripting.
i disagree with your use of the word "going."
