Absolutely correct.
I have an amazing view from my office at work... Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell pavilion. Also, I can see the local CBS affiliate across the street. One web site that inspires me is The Great Seal of the United States of America and with today's project, the eye in relation to CBS and as a symbol.
The current swiftees ad is about symbols. The Great Seal is a symbol that I believe communicates through the ages enlightenment, wisdom and understanding of things held by the nations founders.
Then there's John Kerry - he chose to throw his symbols away. Then he changed his mind when it suited him and he brags about them. They have no meaning to him other than a costume prop. He never renounced his actions when he threw them away.
We have clear direction. If we understand where to look.
"To everything we know there is a season a time for sadness, a time for struggle, a time for rebuilding. And now we have reached a time for hope. This young century will be liberty's century. By promoting liberty abroad, we will build a safer world. By encouraging liberty at home, we will build a more hopeful America. Like generations before us, we have a calling from beyond the stars to stand for freedom. This is the everlasting dream of America and tonight, in this place, that dream is renewed. Now we go forward grateful for our freedom, faithful to our cause, and confident in the future of the greatest nation on earth. God bless you, and may God continue to bless America." - President George W Bush 9/2/04
Oh, I am now rating an 8.9 on the Jealousy Meter. What a view!
I've wanted to get The Boy to his Pappy's house and tour him around Penn's Landing, Valley Forge, and historic Philly. He's just starting to get interested in history, and there's no better place to do it.
gotcha!
bump!!!
Snot nosed 38 year old! ; )
We must pave another day!
Bahahahahah... talk about wishful thinking.
The Washington Post did an -extremely- tough article on CBS this morning.
Newsweek is launching a full investigation.
The New York Post published THIS in an editorial today:
"There's no need to pull any punches now. I'm going to be blunt here: Anybody who spends an hour reviewing the evidence and the expert testimony knows they're forgeries.
"The discrediting has gone on now for five straight days. The conclusion isn't just overwhelming, it's inarguable."
"The documents aren't just forgeries, they're bad, blatant, ludicrous forgeries. They're forgeries so easily detected that in the space of a few hours after CBS released computer photographs of them on the Internet, they had already been pegged and deconstructed."
If this is Dan Rather "winning", let him win AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
It's so fun watching so many liberals hitching their wagons to Rather's pink polka dot unicorn and destroy their credibility right along with him. In a way, unintentionally, Dan Rather is doing an -incredible- service for our country - he's sending liberal credibility crashing into oblivion. And no one could possibly do it as well as Rather is. Only Rather could convince so many liberals to defend the utterly indefensible like this. In one fell swoop, Rather has overwhelmingly accomplished what conservatives have only been occassionally successful at for the last decade - discrediting not just the liberal media, but every individual liberal gobsmackingly still willing to defend him. And that's a LOT of them.
Liberals who are still claiming that these documents aren't fake are going to go down in history alongside Flat Earthers and Holocaust Deniers.
I'd feel sorry for you if you didn't so overwhelmingly deserve it.

My apologies, I seem to have jumped the gun. It's just that this story has been so saturating the media from my perspective that I couldn't believe anyone but a troll would post the title of this thread the way you did.
But, apparently, you seem to have legitimately just missed it. Sorry. Welcome to FR.
But, just so you know, I think you're very wrong. As I just cited, a LOT of the media is running with this. This is not only not going away, it's gathering even more steam.
I fully predict that by next monday, at least THREE major media outlets will have declared that their editorial position is that the memos are forgeries, without qualification. Watch.

A better headline would be: "Undeterred, Rather Forges Ahead"
Beautiful
