Former HCI president Richard Aborn just told Neil Cavuto that there has been a 65% decline in assault weapon shootings in the last ten years as a result of the ban. He said this is because the supply of assault weapon has been drying up.
All freepers should take heed. Assault weapons must be kept moist. Examine all your guns for signs of desiccation. All weapons should be stored by wrapping them in a wet towel in a sealed plastic bag.

Gee Whiz! Somebody needs to get word to Senator Kerry as he said on the radio today that our streets will be full of AK47s. He mentioned that crooks will just buy them at gun shows from willing dealers.

What a crock! One of the antigunners' main carping points about 'grandfathered' preban rifles has been the fact that guns, properly maintained, last virtually forever. And if you do manage to shoot the barrel out or break something, the receiver can be rebuilt like new. Supply drying out, indeed! He's probably just pi**ed because he's stuck with a bunch of prebans he paid $2K for.

same here in FL. In fact some criminal lawyers have been compalining that repeat offender laws are drying up their business because the repeat offenders commite 80% of the crime.
